Abut River Murray Training (RMT) RMT has been a registered training rganisatin (RTO) in irrigatin since RMT has a reputatin as an innvative prvider in wrk-based learning and the use f flexible delivery methds t meet enterprise and individual client needs. Quick Facts Curse details A training schedule is set ut ver a 12 mnth perid, cmmencing in March with sessins cmpleting in December. Participants have a further 3 mnths t submit evidence fr assessment. (15 mnths in all.) The curse is facilitated entirely nline with a weekly 1.5 hr sessin held n Thursday s at 5pm Eastern Daylight Time. Depending n prir experience, participants can expect t undertake up t 20 hurs a week applying their skills and knwledge in their irrigatin wrk place. A Certificate IV averages arund 650 nminal hurs depending n unit selectin Prerequisites There are n prerequisites r crequisites fr the AHC41110 Pathways int this qualificatin This qualificatin may be accessed by direct entry r by cmpletin f the Irrigatin Manager Skill Set. Direct entry applicants must be able t demnstrate prir experience in irrigatin equivalent t a Certificate III level This qualificatin is suitable fr an Australian Apprenticeship. Entry requirement A cre skill prfile at level 3. An RMT facilitatr will assist yu in ding a prfile. If nt at level 3, we may recmmend yu undertake sme Certificate III level units prir t enrlling in the full qualificatin. These units (prvided they meet qualificatin packaging rules) can be used as electives twards a Certificate IV qualificatin at a later time. Participants must have access t an irrigatin envirnment relevant t the Certificate IV level irrigatin skills and knwledge in which they are enrlling. Recgnitin f Prir Learning (RPL) Cmpetence in units can be fully r partially awarded thrugh recgnitin f prir experience and/r learning. RPL reduces the time required t cmplete the curse, and reduces the cst f a qualificatin. Indicate yur interest in RPL n the Enquiry Frm. This will be reviewed with the client n a regular basis. River Murray Training can prvide additinal tutring supprt and cunselling n ther supprt ptins. RMT ffers reasnable adjustments in hw assessment is undertaken t accmmdate a client s special needs, where a client has indicated he/she has special needs. A list f supprt services and cntacts is prvided t participants in their rientatin pack. Assessment Evidence fr assessment will include assignments and prjects that bth add value t a participant s wrkplace and demnstrate cmpetency. Sme will be ed in; thers may be presented t the grup. There will be pprtunities t wrk cllabratively with ther participants. Evidence f Required skills and Required knwledge can in part be inferred frm wrkplace dcumentatin. Irrigatin schedules and histrical lgs, analysis spreadsheets, irrigatin maintenance plans and implementatin wrk plans; envirnmental management plan mnitring and reviews. Units are clustered t avid repetitin in assessment. The assessr may als use interview techniques and 3 rd party reprts t supplementary mre direct evidence. Assessment is planned as part f an Individual s Learning Plan and takes int accunt any RPL, and pprtunities t apply knwledge and skills in the wrkplace, and the cntext in which yu plan t use the AHC41110 qualificatin in the future, and yur preferred learning style. AHCIRG403A Determine seasnal irrigatin scheduling tasks This unit cvers determining seasnal irrigatin scheduling tasks and defines the standard required t: estimate water availability fr plants/crps; determine irrigatin shifts and rates; mnitr and recrd irrigatin data; analyse misture mnitring equipment data; evaluate effectiveness f irrigatin.
