The curse intrduces the legal and ethical framewrk f the Early Childhd Educatin and Care industry. Als includes develping skills in wrking with culturally diverse clients, in particular, wrking with Abriginal and/r Trres Strait Islander peple. Yu will als learn yur legal respnsibilities and bligatins in the wrkplace and yu will learn t prvide emergency first aid and identify and respnd t children at risk. Students will als be expsed t sustainable wrk practices in the industry. Students will develp skills in the basic care f children, tddlers and babies including prmting and prviding gd nutritin. Yu will be taught emergency care and first aid prcedures as well as methds fr establishing and maintaining care envirnments that are cnductive t children s develpment. Entry Requirements Participants must be at least 18 years f age, Students required LLN skills must t be at an ACSF level 3 fr diplma curses. Students that may require assistance with lw LLN levels are assisted by ffering face t face training and reasnable adjustments made t the their curse structure by making the training mre persnalised. Applicants will ideally have prir experience in the child care and early childhd educatin sectrs, and are recmmended t have cmpleted a Certificate III in Early Childhd Educatin prir t undertaking this curse. Due t the nline pathway, students must have access t a suitable internet-enabled device with internet access. Estimated Curse Duratin The curse is typically studied fr a 45 week perid. Participants expect t undertake apprximately 70 hurs f study per unit, (40 hurs f study per week).
