2 Overview f rle Sciety and Grup rle: This rle is fr a Business Intelligence Prfessinal based in Yrk. It will see yu fully respnsible fr all aspects f the BI reprting lifecycle including: Gathering, understanding and interpreting business requirements Influencing and advising stakehlders, prviding recmmendatins Surcing required data frm multiple cmplex systems and databases (bth internal and external) Develping ETL prcesses using Kimball methdlgy t translate int business friendly terms and ppulate the Data warehuse Develping a simple t understand Business Objects Universe that can be understd and utilised by nn-technical pwer users acrss the business Building reprts using Business Objects r3/r4, Tableau etc creating valuable MI Ensuring business users fully understand and have the necessary infrmatin t enable critical decisin making, supprting delivery f the business plan Benenden has becme increasing reliant n the data held within the Data Warehuse t make infrmed decisins and understand the effects f past business change and als hw future change may impact the Sciety. This rle is t maintain and develp the Data Warehuse and prvide MI t ensure nging decisins are made effectively and ultimately ensure we remain sustainable. This is a hands-n technical rle fr a self-mtivated Business Intelligence Develper t act as a subject matter expert and use data t answer crucial questins, design, develp, enhance and deliver precise, relevant reprting t supprt the business and the grup in delivery f the business plan and supprting the Business Intelligence strategy t help Benenden t becme truly data-driven. Specific Respnsibilities: Mentring f the assistant BI Develpers within the team, sharing skills and experience t enhance team utput and further persnal develpment Peer sign-ff f cmplex cde, data extracts, prcedures and reprts written by ther team members Wrk with business stakehlders t understand their specific requirements, suggest slutins and then translate cmplex surce data int meaningful and simple t understand reprts Understand data structures in existing and new data surces and systems Develp ETL prcedures, bringing in new data frm additinal internal and external surces using Kimball methdlgy, adding new capability t the reprting envirnment and enhancing the Data Warehuse Maintenance f vernight prcedures t ensure Data Warehuse integrity Establish yurself as Subject Matter Expert fr data frm all surces Supprt and develp a pwer user envirnment fr self-service data access and reprting Prducing quality Management Infrmatin by translating business requirements int relevant Business Intelligence Develper Versin 001 March 2016

3 and timely reprts using Business Objects XI and ther analytical tls Prvide data extracts fr marketing purpses and ensuring marketing permissins are adhered t and DPA cmpliance Maintaining and testing Data integrity Representing the Business Intelligence team n prject teams as required, and ensure ptentials impacts n BI existing and future reprting requirements are raised and flagged t the Senir BI Manager as necessary Surcing & Management f Data Building excellent wrking relatinships with the Business Undertake reasnable duties as required by the Business Where des rle fit in rganisatin? 5 Measuring Perfrmance Perfrmance will be measured against the specific bjectives and targets and Values-led behaviurs as identified and agreed within the Perfrmance & Develpment Review (PDR) prcess. FURTHER ROLE REQUIREMENTS Health & Safety The pst-hlder will be required t bserve Sciety guidelines and plicies made under the Health & Safety at Wrk Act. He/she will take due care and will reprt any accidents r untward ccurrences and c-perate with The Sciety in relatin t Health & Safety issues. Cnfidentiality The pst hlder will be expsed t sensitive infrmatin, e.g. persnnel, medical, membership r financial recrds and must at all times ensure the cnfidentiality f this infrmatin, whether cncerning members f The Sciety, staff r Sciety business. Any breach f cnfidentiality is cnsidered a dismissible ffence. Legislatin The pst-hlder will be required t bserve current legislatin including fr example Data Prtectin Act, Human Rights Act, Friendly Scieties Act, Equal Opprtunities etc. Fraud The Sciety requires hnesty and integrity frm staff and Officers. The Sciety's Fraud Plicy is stated in Sectin 20 f the Standing Financial Instructins. This Plicy clearly states the Sciety's psitin regarding fraud, theft and crruptin. Furthermre the Sciety's Whistleblwing Plicy sets ut guidance regarding the reprting f suspected malpractice. Business Risk Awareness The pst-hlder will be required t identify and assess risks t the achievement f individual, departmental and rganisatinal business bjectives. He/she will reprt, cntrl and mnitr these risks at a level apprpriate t the rle.
