1 Multi-Year Accessibility Plicy and Plan fr NSF Canada and NSF Internatinal Strategic Registratins Canada Cmpany, This accessibility plan utlines the plicies and actins that NSF Canada and NSF Internatinal Strategic Registratins (NSF-ISR) Canada Cmpany will put in place t imprve pprtunities fr peple with disabilities. The multi-year accessibility plan will be mdified n an annual basis t reflect NSF Canada s and NSF-ISR Canada Cmpany s accmplishments in imprving ur services fr thse with disabilities, and t maintain cmpliance with the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulatin (IASR). This plan is available n ur internal bulletin bards and AESOP database and public website. Statement f Cmmitment NSF Canada and NSF-ISR Canada Cmpany are cmmitted t treating all peple in a way that allws them t maintain their dignity and independence. We believe in integratin and equal pprtunity. We are cmmitted t meeting the needs f peple with disabilities in a timely manner, and will d s by preventing and remving barriers t accessibility and meeting accessibility requirements under the Accessibility fr Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). Custmer Service Standard NSF Canada and NSF-ISR Canada Cmpany have develped plicies t cmply with Regulatin 429/07 f the AODA Accessibility Standards fr Custmer Service. NSF Canada s and NSF-ISR Canada Cmpany s Accessible Custmer Service Plicy utlines ur cmmitment t accessibility and status f achievement fr each area f the AODA Custmer Service Standard. Status: Cmplete/nging Custmer Service Achievements: NSF Canada and NSF-ISR Canada Cmpany have achieved the fllwing requirements f the Custmer Service Standard f the AODA having develped and put in place a custmer service plan that: Cnsiders a persn s disability when cmmunicating with them Allws assistive devices in the wrkplace Allws service animals n ur premises that are pen t the public Welcmes supprt persns Lets custmers knw when accessible services are nt available Invites custmers t prvide feedback in writing by , pstal mail r nline, r in persn t Receptin, r by telephne. 1

2 Status: Cmplete NSF Canada and NSF-ISR Canada Cmpany have trained all emplyees, ther staff and independent cntractrs/agents 1 f the rganizatin n accessible custmer service, and has created an nging prcess t train new emplyees and ther staff with regards t the Custmer Service Standard. See the sectin Training belw fr details. Status: Cmplete NSF Canada and NSF-ISR Canada Cmpany have put the custmer service plan in writing, and made the plan available t the public and NSF emplyees, ther staff and independent cntractrs/agents. The plan can be accessed here. The plan is available in accessible frmat, if requested. Accessible Emergency Infrmatin NSF Canada and NSF-ISR Canada Cmpany are cmmitted t prviding the public with available emergency infrmatin in an accessible way upn request. We will als prvide emplyees with disabilities with individualized emergency respnse infrmatin when necessary. NSF Canada and NSF-ISR Canada Cmpany emplyees are trained n ur emergency prcedures and plans. Currently they are nt made available t the public. Emplyees with disabilities will cnsult with HR t establish an individualized emergency respnse. Where required, we will prvide assistance t specific disabled emplyees, with the disabled emplyees prir cnsent, t help them evacuate the wrkplace in case f an emergency r disaster. These plans fr prviding assistance will be set ut in individualized emergency plans fr the emplyees. Individualized emergency plans will be cmmunicated t the emplyees respective managers and safety supprt persns as apprpriate. On an nging and regular basis, and as per the applicable terms f the IASR, we will review and assess general wrkplace emergency respnse prcedures and individualized emergency plans t ensure accessibility issues are addressed. 1 Independent cntractrs/agents are anyne wh prvides gds, services and facilities t the public n behalf f NSF Canada and NSF-ISR Canada Cmpany. 2

This training will be prvided t all emplyees and ther staff members. It will als be prvided t all current independent cntractrs/agents wh prvide gds and services t the public n behalf f NSF Canada and NSF-ISR Canada Cmpany. Training will be prvided in a way that best suits the duties f emplyees, ther staff members and independent cntractrs/agents. NSF Canada and NSF-ISR Canada Cmpany will take the fllwing steps t ensure emplyees, ther staff members and independent cntractrs/agents are prvided with the training needed t meet Ontari s accessible laws by January 1, 2015: Deliver training t all emplyees, ther staff members and independent cntractrs/agents f NSF Canada and NSF-ISR Canada Cmpany that prvides training n: The IASR requirements as apprpriate and as needed t perfrm their duties n the requirements f the regulatin What they have t d under the Ontari Human Rights Cde (related t disabilities) NSF Canada and NSF-ISR Canada Cmpany have an accessibility plicy related t the AODA Custmer Service Standard. All emplyees and ther staff members have cmpleted the accessibility training related t this Custmer Service Standard. Our rganizatin decided t extend this training initiative t all emplyees and ther staff members rather than nly t the nes wh deal directly with custmers. This training was als extended t independent cntractrs/agents wh prvide services t the public n behalf f NSF Canada and NSF-ISR Canada Cmpany. Deliver training t all new hires and beynd: That prvides training n the AODA Custmer Service Standard, IASR requirements as apprpriate t their duties and the Ontari Human Rights Cde (related t disabilities) as part f their nbarding prcess. Further, emplyees and ther staff members wh experience a change in duties that invlve develping ur rganizatins plices (including human resurces prfessinals, managers, senir leaders and directrs) will be trained in the IASR requirements as apprpriate t their duties. Future independent cntractrs/agents and anyne wh prvides gds, services and facilities t the public n behalf f NSF Canada and NSF-ISR Canada Cmpany: 3

We will ntify the public abut the availability f accessible frmats and cmmunicatin supprts via public and internal websites and cmpany bulletin bards. Recruitment By January 1, 2016, NSF Canada and NSF-ISR Canada Cmpany will take the fllwing steps t ntify the public and staff that, when requested, we will accmmdate peple with disabilities during the recruitment and assessment prcesses and when peple are hired: 5

6 We will cnduct a review f recruitment plicies and prcedures within ur rganizatins t ensure that ur methds fr jb pstings, phne interviews and inpersn interviews clearly articulate that we will accmmdate thse with disabilities during all phases f recruitment and emplyment. Specifically, this will include inclusin f availability f accmmdatin ntice as part f the script in the scheduling f an interview and/r assessment. If a selected applicant requests accmmdatin, we will cnsult with them and make adjustments that best suit their needs. When making ffers f emplyment, we will ntify the successful applicant f ur plicies fr accmmdating emplyees with disabilities in ur emplyment cntracts. Human Resurces will cntinue t review its plicies and prcedures n an annual basis t ensure that internal staffing and external hiring practices are inclusive in their design and implementatin. Ensure that the prcess fr the develpment f dcumented individual accmmdatin plans includes the fllwing elements in accrdance with the prvisins f the IASR: The manner in which the emplyee requesting accmmdatin can participate in the develpment plan The means by which the emplyee is assessed n an individual basis The manner in which we can request an evaluatin by an utside medical r ther expert, t assist NSF Canada and NSF-ISR Canada Cmpany in determining if and hw accmmdatin can be achieved Steps t prtect the privacy f the emplyee s persnal infrmatin The frequency in which individual accmmdatin plans will be reviewed and updated and the manner in which this will be dne The reasns fr the denial if an individual accmmdatin plan is denied The means f prviding the individual accmmdatin plan in a frmat that takes int accunt the emplyee s accessibility needs If individual accmmdatin plans are established, they will include: Individualized wrkplace emergency respnse infrmatin that is required Any infrmatin regarding accessible frmats and cmmunicatin supprts that have been prvided fr r arranged, in rder t prvide the emplyee with: Infrmatin that is needed t perfrm the emplyee s jb Infrmatin that is generally available t emplyees in the wrkplace Any ther accmmdatin that is t be prvided t the emplyee 7
