2 POSITION TITLE : MANAGER, MARKETING AND COMMUNICATION CLASSIFICATION : GRADE 5 AWARD : HEALTH, COMMUNITY SERVICES AND AMBULANCE MANAGEMENT AND ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF AWARD WORK UNIT/LOCATION : CORPORATE BUCKLEY STREET, MORWELL REPORTS TO : EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, CORPORATE Scpe f rle The Manager, Marketing and Cmmunicatin will lead marketing and cmmunicatin activities under the leadership f the Executive Directr, Crprate t psitively prmte (LCHS) and imprve ur cmmunicatins prcesses with ur cnsumers, custmers and clients. The rle will entail liaising with internal and external parties, and prviding leadership in all aspects f marketing (the 5 Ps) and cmmunicatin. This is als a hands-n rle particularly fr rganisatin-wide initiatives. The psitin will be supprted by internal (a team f tw prfessinals) and external resurces as required. Key bjectives, duties and respnsibilities Marketing and Cmmunicatin Planning and Branding leading develpment f LCHS s Marketing and Cmmunicatin Plan(s) ensuring alignment t strategic directins and the values and missin f the rganisatin; leading develpment f Marketing Plans fr key directrates r prgram areas as agreed with the Chief Executive Officer starting with ne critical area per annum; ensuring implementatin f Marketing and Cmmunicatin Plan; cntributing t the develpment f LCHS s Marketing and Cmmunicatin Strategy; ensuring branding is cnsistently applied acrss LCHS. Leading develpment and maintenance f LCHS s Style Guide. Prducts and Services ensuring understanding f prducts and services ffered by LCHS and the target audiences being serviced; ensuring LCHS s Service Directry is up t date. 3 Key bjectives, duties and respnsibilities (cnt.) Prmtin and Media respnsible fr the crdinatin and delivery f rganisatin-wide prmtinal material and media releases. Develping gd media relatins with apprpriate netwrks; respnsible fr the crdinatin and delivery f media releases and prmtinal events fr apprved prgram initiatives; leading develpment f prmtinal material. Establishing and maintaining central repsitry fr fficial prmtinal material; establishing a netwrk f preferred suppliers in the marketing and cmmunicatin fields; ensuring LCHS s website is aligned t the business, marketing and cmmunicatin plans and apprpriately reflects brand. Develping bth website and intranet cntent and ensuring current infrmatin n bth sites; crdinating and/r participating in apprpriate prmtinal pprtunities fr the rganisatin. Other reviewing and evaluating effectiveness f LCHS s marketing effrts/investment and recmmending new appraches; cntributing t develpment f marketing and cmmunicatin budget and managing resurces; managing, caching and develping staff; undertaking ther duties as directed. Standard rganisatin respnsibilities Management f Staff (if applicable) develping a culture f effective teamwrk and individual respnsibility that is in line with the rganisatin s values; managing and caching staff in accrdance with the LCHS s Perfrmance Review and Develpment Plan framewrk; scheduling regular visits with staff wh wrk at sites ther than the Manager s base site. On-Call participating in an After Hurs On-Call Rster, if required, in accrdance with LCHS s Plicy and the terms and cnditins f yur Award. Manager, Marketing and Cmmunicatin Page 3

Scial Mdel f Health understanding and applying the principles f the Scial Mdel f Health, which aims t imprve the health and wellbeing f cnsumers thrugh the develpment f apprpriate service planning and prgram delivery. Occupatinal Health & Safety ensuring that wrk and services are prvided in a safe manner at all times by regularly reviewing practices and envirnment, and by participating in OH&S training where required. Cntinuus Quality Imprvement identifying cntinuus quality imprvement pprtunities, participating in the develpment f quality prcedures and cntributing t internal and external prgram reviews as required. Perfrmance Review and Develpment Plan actively participating in an annual individual perfrmance review and develpment plan which determines key respnsibilities, strategies and perfrmance indicatrs, in line with the rganisatin s Strategic Plan and Prgram Business Plan. 6 PERSON SPECIFICATION Qualificatins/experience/licences Essential tertiary r equivalent qualificatins in marketing, jurnalism, public relatins, cmmunicatins r related area and vast experience in relevant fields; demnstrated prficiency in the use f Micrsft ffice; current Victrian driver s licence. Desirable prject management, prcess imprvement experience. Other a Plice Recrd Check regarding any criminal recrd will be required prir t finalisatin f the appintment; credentialing dcumentatin is required t be cmpleted and verified prir t finalisatin f the appintment; a mandatry Wrking With Children check may be required fr this rle.
