1 Organizatin Design Specialist Suthern Africa Regin BACKGROUND One f the key challenges t implementing the new strategic directin and especially the cmmitment t face the custmer (the child and the cmmunity) is the enrmity and cmplexity f re-aligning Natinal Offices (NOs). A Natinal Directr (ND) wanting t ensure that the structures, systems, prcesses and persnnel are aligned t the reginal/natinal strategy and facing the field will discver that it is easier said than dne and that the way we have always dne things arund here will get in the way f executin and delivery. Suthern Africa Regin (SAR) must therefre prvide the expertise t diagnse, (re)design, and re (align) NOs if the regin is t add value t such a critical area at this early stage f reginal strategy. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE The rle is respnsible fr prviding expertise and advice in the area f Organizatin Design, develpment and change management that will enable the regin t realign structures, prcesses, skills and staff, in rder t fulfill its strategy, missin and gals. Reprting thrugh matrix management t the Reginal P&C Directr, Strategy Directr, Organizatin Develpment and Change and t the Senir Executive Manager, this rle will lead the implementatin f glbal initiatives as apprpriate within the regin and develp thse prgrams and supprt systems as required t meet the unique needs f the regin.

2 The rle will wrk cllabratively with the Reginal Directr f Strategy Management and the Senir Directr f Operatins t ensure alignment with strategic pririties in the regin. Supprting, measuring and reprting n implementatin will be central. AN ILLUSTRATION OF THE OUTCOMES FOR THIS ROLE IN FY The Greenfield ADP prject- High invlvement t Feb 2011 a. Analysis f rganizatinal implicatins f the NO as a Service Center f the ADP acrss the 8 NOs. 3. Pririty NO re-alignment and design a. Angla- Design the new perating mdel t supprt spnsrship- required frm May 2011 July 2011 b. Mzambique c. Suth Africa d. Malawi 4. Supprting the implementatin f the new Reginal Culture f facing the custmer; fcusing n executin; and achieving results thrugh empwered cmmunities and NOs. 5. Facilitating strategic Organizatinal design and prgram implementatin that fcuses n Reginal pririties and CWB utcmes. 6. FY12 will fcus n assisting the remaining NOs align structures t supprt ADPs.

3 KEY AREAS OF FOCUS Respnsible fr reginal cnsultancy and advisement in the area f rganizatinal design and develpment Prvides rganizatinal design cnsulting t the reginal and natinal rganizatinal units as required Ensures infrastructure is in place t supprt and maintain required rganizatinal structures Assists with re-rganizatinal design and structural mdificatins when necessary Ensures rganizatinal structures are apprpriate t supprt the achievement f strategies and gals Implements a change management apprach that ensures the Regin will mve frm current state t future desired state in an efficient and effective manner: Develp and implement a change management philsphy and prgram that is cnsistent with WV culture and aligned with glbal strategies and reginal cntext Design a deplyment framewrk fr the deplyment f that prgram which is cntextualized fr reginal and natinal scietal, regulatry, ecnmic and talent requirements. Review and as apprpriate develp initiatives fr change management supprt t field initiatives bth reginally and natinally as needed. Develp methdlgies that prvide fr a reginal framewrk with lcal cntextualizatin. Prvide best in class intellectual capital in relatin t change management thinking and appraches. KEY RELATIONSHIPS Matrix management by P&C Directr, Senir Executive Manager and Strategy Directr, Organizatinal Develpment and Change. Key client relatinships with Natinal Directrs and P&C Directrs in the Natinal Offices, and thse relatinships utside f the regin which can infrm the prtfli. Cnsultancy with Reginal Leader and ther key executives relating t matters f rganizatin design and develpment Specialist leadership n functinal matters within the Regin and a participant in glbal centres f expertise. Leads and supprts wrk teams as required within the Regin r Natinal Offices t accmplish assigned gals. External benchmarking rganizatins and netwrks. Key service prviders e.g. cnsultants and prviders f services that may be used frm

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES University degree in HR, Business r related field. A relevant Masters degree wuld be desirable, cupled with OD experience.
