Assist faculty and staff in creating effective envirnments in D2L fr their nline classes, web-enhanced classes, advising, and training. c. Wrk with faculty t apply best practices in nline educatin. d. Make recmmendatins cncerning use f multimedia and ther technlgies t enhance the learning envirnment in D2L. e. Prvide regularly scheduled ffice/department visits t prvide supprt fr faculty n campus f. 5 DESCRIPTION C NATURE AND SCOPE EMPLOYEE S NAME RELATIONSHIPS: This psitin wrks in many capacities supprting and assisting faculty with the design and develpment f nline and web-enhanced curses and fr ther activities invlving the University learning management system (D2L). This psitin will cnsult with clleagues frm elearning Supprt, Center fr Extended Learning, Infrmatin Technlgy Services, the Academic Technlgy Center, and with ther individuals wh prvide supprt t faculty and staff using D2L REQUIREMENTS Master s degree in the field f Educatin cmpleted by date f hire; including curse wrk in Instructinal Design, Online Learning, and Educatinal Psychlgy and Learning Thery 2 r mre years f wrk experience in nline higher educatin using a learning management system, such as Desire2Learn Administrative experience in a learning management system, such as Desire2Learn Instructinal design experience in bth face-t-face and nline learning envirnments in higher educatin Experience develping training materials and facilitating effective training experiences in higher educatin Experience cnducting educatinal research and making applicatin f findings in higher educatin Excellent time/prject management skills Excellent verbal and written cmmunicatin skills Ability t cntribute effectively in a team envirnment Advanced cmputer knwledge and trubleshting skills (e.g., MS Office) Knwledge f current educatinal technlgies, and an interest in and willingness t learn emerging technlgies DESIRED SKILLS Experience with: Instructinal design tls such as Phtshp, Dreamweaver, Captivate/Camtasia, Respndus, Adbe Cnnect, as well as print-based sftware such as Wrd, PwerPint, Excel, Adbe Prfessinal Creating/managing wikis & blgs Web develpment and editing Capturing and encding media fr playback in varius frmats, including web playback and pdcasting Digital cameras (still & vide phtgraphy) and digital editing FREEDOM TO ACT: This psitin will reprt t the Assciate Vice President fr Extended Learning & Library.
