Describe the different hardware cmpnents inside f and cnnected t a cmputer. Identify each type f cmputer bus structure Learn abut the many different prcessrs used fr persnal cmputers and ntebk cmputers 2. Perfrm installatin, cnfiguratin, and upgrading f micrcmputer hardware and

Students in the traditinal class will meet regularly fr lecture ver the material. Students in the Internet class will nly be required t meet with the instructr fr testing; hwever, Internet students are always welcme t attend the traditinal class (especially fr exam reviews). Resurces prvided thrugh WebCT include A calendar displaying assignments each week (please check ften) Online assignments Chapter ntes (ttally cntained within WebCT) All assignments will be submitted thrugh WebCT. After the assignment has been graded, the student will be able t view his r her grade by returning t the assignment and clicking the View Scres buttn r by clicking the My Grades link in the left banner. All exams will be hands-n applicatin tests and students will nt be able t view the answers t the exams nline; hwever, 2

3 they will be able t see their grade in My Grades and drp by the ffice t review their exams. I generally will have yur wrk graded and psted within tw days fllwing the deadline. At the end f each learning mdule, yu will cmplete a Labsim prject demnstrating Yur knwledge f the prgramming cncepts presented in the learning mdule. Prjects will be Submitted t me accrding t the schedule prvided using the nline drp bx in the Assignments Link f Canvas. PORTFOLIO The prtfli will be a cllectin f all Labsim wrk cmpleted during the semester including a cmprehensive presentatin prject t be cmpleted in the final weeks f the semester. Prtflis are due by the scheduled deadline. EXAMS There will be tw assessments t verify that yu have the cmprehensive knwledge required t prduce yur prtfli. Yu will demnstrate this knwledge by cnducting an interactive presentatin f a cmprehensive prject subject t peer and instructr evaluatin.
