1 External Vacancy Lecturer 2 Computer Games Design Ref: 5753, 26,145-34,092 per annum, pro rata (dependent on qualifications) Hours, Permanent, to start August 2015 An opportunity has arisen for a passionate, suitably qualified Computer Games Design lecturer within the department of Visual & Performing Arts. We would like to further strengthen our team with a highly creative and enthusiastic Games Design specialist. This post offers the successful candidate the opportunity to work in our brand new state of the art Arts Academy, at the Bede Campus and be a part of a successful team, supporting outstanding achievement across Visual Arts provision; from BTEC, A Level and Foundation Degree. The successful candidate will be an outstanding practitioner, with relevant vocational competence and be able to ensure quality, have high expectations, enthuse and inspire students to achieve the best possible outcomes and prepare students for a career in the fast moving Computer Games industry. Applicants will have a Degree in Computer Games, or a related course. Applicants must have relevant games industry or independent game development experience and could be new to teaching or have a proven track record in education. Applicants must hold a teaching qualification or be willing to achieve within three years. Applicants for this post should be able to demonstrate in their personal statement practical examples of how they fulfil the person specification. Applicants will also be expected to bring along examples of original games they have made, or been heavily involved in, to interview. Delivery of curriculum. 2. Assessment of student learning. 3. Provision of support for student learning. 4. Maintenance of appropriate records and documentation. 5. Maintenance of appropriate continuing professional development and general aspects of role. 6. Development of curriculum. 7. Evaluation of curriculum. MAIN DUTIES: 1 Delivery of curriculum 1.1. Prepare session plans and resources to contribute to an identified scheme of work Deliver differentiated teaching, learning and assessment strategies to meet learner needs.
