Key Responsibilities of post As Curriculum Administrator you will be responsible for providing an efficient and effective support role covering all aspects of the administrator role. You will sustain and improve personal skills/training for yourself in order to meet the needs of the SMT members and the College. Main Duties and Responsibilities Administration 1. To co-ordinate diaries, arranging appointments/meetings using an electronic diary, ensuring appropriate files and papers are available. Deal with travel and accommodation arrangements, invoices and reimbursements. 2. To provide an efficient, confidential administration service including typing of letters, minute taking, documents and reports, answering routine correspondence, s and the circulation of documentation. 3. To liaise with key contacts as required and act as ambassador for the College where appropriate. 4. To establish and maintain office files and records, ensuring satisfactory security and confidentiality. 5. To receive and relay messages and information from personal visitors. 6. In liaison with the PA to Vice Principal Business Development, ensure the efficient operation of the Directorate office. 7. To report any anomalies for addressing to the PA to Vice Principal Business Development. 8. To arrange hospitality and car parking for meetings. 9. To meet on a one-to-one basis with the PA to Vice Principal Business Development to measure progress. 10. To take part in the arrangements of College and Staff Development events. Personal Competencies 1. Communication - oral and written, able to use a range of techniques and styles to ensure that communication is timely, clear and effective. Able to communicate with all levels of staff, students and external institutions and members of the public in a confident and knowledgeable manner. 2. Personal organisation - able to work in a methodical and organised way to achieve goals and ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness. Discreet and able to provide a highly confidential secretarial service. 3. Adaptability - able to adapt to a complex, ever changing work environment including adopting a flexible approach and reacting positively to changing circumstances. 4. Accountability - able to ensure the successful completion of every task or activity they undertake at work including having a positive, can do attitude in the pursuit of their goals and duties. 5. Team working - recognising responsibility as a team member to include providing active support and loyalty, valuing individuals for their knowledge and contribution,

Business Development Service - able to demonstrate clear commitment to achieving high levels of customer service to staff and students. 7. Cross-College Other 1. To act as confidential minute administrator for meetings, produce agendas and circulate any associated documentation to relevant managers, monitor action points from the minutes. 2. To provide an administration support service as required. 3. Undertake projects as directed by the PA to Vice Principal Business Development. 4. To act as point of contact for staff, using initiative in dealing with resulting action. 5. To liaise with members of teaching, administration and other support staff as necessary. 6. Ensure the PA to Vice Principal Business Development is kept fully informed and up to speed with on-going issues. 1. To undertake any further training as identified in the College review procedures. 2. To participate fully in College Quality Procedures. 3. Ensure that safe working practices are followed in respect of COSHH and other Risk Assessment control measures. 4. To comply with and promote College Health and Safety policies and take appropriate responsibility to ensure the health and safety of self and others. 5. To understand, comply with and promote the colleges Safeguarding policy and procedures. 6. To understand, comply with and promote the colleges Diversity policies and procedures. 7. To engage in continuous professional development. 8. To undertake such other reasonable duties as may be required from time to time and review this Job Description at least annually through the College appraisal scheme. 9. 4 Person specification Curriculum Administrator (E = Essential D = Desirable) SKILLS AND CORE COMPETENCIES Technical competency (qualifications and training) 1. Have a good standard of general education, with a good level of literacy and numeracy at Level 2 or equivalent (e.g. Maths and English GCSEs at Grade C or above) (E) 2. Level 3 qualification (A Level, BTEC National Diploma etc.) or equivalent (E) Experience 1. Have experience of supporting individuals to meet agreed objectives and milestones (E) 2. Provide evidence of successfully working as part of a team and openly exchanging information and supporting colleagues (E) Skills and Attributes 1. Demonstrate effective organisational skills and the ability to implement new systems of working and have a proven ability of meeting tight deadlines (E) 2. Be able to demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills (E) 3. SALARY SCALE The post is graded Business Support Staff Scale 3, 16,528 per annum pro rata. Salary will be paid monthly in arrears into a bank or building society account of your choice.
