What is Diversity? Wrkplace Diversity refers t the many differences between individuals in the wrkplace. Diversity requires acceptance and respect, recgnising that each individual is unique and that embracing individual differences makes the wrkfrce strnger as a whle. Differences include ethnicity, gender, sexual rientatin, age, physical abilities, family status, religius belief and ther idelgies. Why is Diversity Imprtant? MyState Limited cnsiders Wrkplace Diversity t be a cnsiderable asset and smething which aids Cmpany perfrmance. The Cmpany recgnises that a healthy wrkfrce shuld be reflective f ur custmer base and the greater cmmunity, if we are t best meet the needs f existing and prspective custmers. 3 MyState Limited Diversity Plicy Bard Apprved 17 July 2014 Phased in Retirement Prcedure Occupatinal Health and Safety Prcedure Emplyee Cde f Cnduct Diversity Objectives Outside f the abve mentined Plices and Prcedures, Wrkplace Diversity is underpinned by a Bard established Cmpany Diversity Objectives which are measured and peridically reviewed, and disclsed in the Annual Reprt in line with ASX Crprate Gvernance Principles. These Objectives are; Bard Successin Planning Targeted Recruitment Cmpany Successin Planning Return t Wrk Prgram Flexible Wrkfrce Educatin Prgram In all cases, the pursuit f achievement f measures surrunding Cmpany Diversity Objectives will be balanced accrdingly against apprpriate Plicy and Prcedure t ensure that activity remains fair and transparent. Oversight and Reprting Cmpany Diversity Objectives are verseen by the Remuneratin Cmmittee, a Bard subcmmittee cmprised f Directrs and attended by key Senir Management frm within the rganisatin. The Remuneratin Cmmittee review perfrmance against Diversity Objectives twice annually as structured agenda items, and regularly thrughut the year in an infrmal sense. As stated previusly, these measurable targets are disclsed in the Annual Reprt.
4 MyState Limited Diversity Objectives Bard Apprved July 2014 MyState Limited Diversity Objectives FY15 t FY17 MyState Limited has a number f Objectives in relatin t Wrkplace Diversity which are detailed belw. Whilst setting Objectives t ensure that apprpriate actin ccurs t supprt Wrkplace Diversity, it is imprtant t nte that ther factrs will impact the achievement f these gals. These include the requirement t satisfy ther rganizatinal Plicy and Prcedures, including but nt limited t the Recruitment and Selectin Prcedure. Bard Successin Planning The MyState Limited Bard will undertake regular successin planning with a view t ensure a diverse mix f Directrs, with a specific fcus n gender and skills/experience, thrugh apprpriate develpment and recruitment strategies. MYS Bard t include 2 female Directrs by the AGM fllwing the cnclusin f FY17. Targeted Recruitment Strategy The recruitment team will wrk with Management thrughut the Cmpany t identify imbalances and structure dedicated recruitment prgrams t address these areas apprpriately. These will be reflected in the agreed measures fr any given perid. MyState and Rck Branches t have a 25% ttal representatin f emplyees aged 35 years r lder by the cnclusin f FY16. This figure is t increase t 40% by the cnclusin f FY17. All vacant Management r Specialist psitins thrughut the Grup fr the perids f FY15 and FY16 t have a representatin f 50% f female candidates n the final interviewed shrtlist subject t satisfactin f cnditins within the Recruitment and Selectin prcedure.
5 MyState Limited Diversity Objectives Bard Apprved July 2014 Cmpany Successin Planning Underpinning Recruitment Strategy, internal Successin Planning will be cnducted fr Management and Specialist psitins, ensuring dedicated develpment planning fr identified emplyees with an equally apprpriate fcus n addressing diversity imbalances where evident. MYS Grup Successin Plan t have 50% f identified rles allcated a nminated female Successr by the cnclusin f FY15. Return t Wrk Prgram The Cmpany will partner with a return t wrk prvider t prvide bth wrk experience and full time wrk pprtunities where apprpriate t disabled individuals lking t enter/re-renter the wrkfrce. The Cmpany t have an establish partnership in place with identified return t wrk prviders in bth Tasmanian and Central Queensland by the cnclusin f FY15. The Cmpany t have prvided a minimum f 2 wrk experience placements t disabled individuals identified thrugh return t wrk prviders, in each f Tasmania and Central Queensland, in bth FY16 and FY17. The Cmpany t have appinted 2 disabled individuals identified thrugh return t wrk prviders, t permanent psitins within the Grup by the cnclusin f FY17. Flexible Wrkfrce Emphasis will be placed n a strng representatin f part-time emplyees in custmer facing psitins, t ensure that the Cmpany can best serve its custmers at peak perids f the day, and emply mre peple n the whle, withut increasing the FTE. MyState and Rck Branches t have a 20% t 30% ttal representatin f part time emplyees by the cnclusin f FY16. This figure is t increase t between 40%and 50% by the cnclusin f FY17. This is t be achieved thrugh an increase in emplyees, withut a resulting increase t FTE.
6 MyState Limited Diversity Objectives Bard Apprved July 2014 Educatin Prgram A dedicated training prgram will be embedded in bth emplyee inductin and nging educatin prgrams, t ensure that the Cmpany cntinues t prmte a culture f acceptance and inclusin, thrugh emplyees understanding the value f a diverse wrkfrce. A dedicated Wrkplace Diversity educatin prgram t be implemented in FY15, inclusive f a cmpnent f inductin as well as a stand alne prgram fr emplyee attendance run mnthly. By FY16, Wrkplace Diversity prgram attendance t be included in scheduled Cmpliance training with emplyees required t attend nce every tw years at a minimum.
