1 DISTRICT AND CAMUS IMROVEMENT LANS Authrities: Texas Educatin Cde; Texas Health and Safety Cde FEDERAL AND STATE REQUIREMENTS CITATIONS DISTRICT IMROVEMENT LAN Each lcal educatinal agency (LEA) must have an imprvement plan that is develped, evaluated, and revised annually, in accrdance with the LEA plicy, by the superintendent with the assistance f the district-level planning and decisin-making cmmittee. The purpse f the district imprvement plan is t guide the LEA and campus staff in the imprvement f student perfrmance fr all student grups in rder t attain state standards with respect t the student achievement indicatrs. 4 Each LEA must maintain current plicies and prcedures t ensure that effective planning and site-based decisin-making ccur at each campus t direct and supprt the imprvement f perfrmance fr all students (a) Each LEA's plicy and prcedures must establish campus-level planning and decisin-making cmmittees. Each schl year, the principal f each schl campus, with the assistance f the campus-level cmmittee, must develp, review, and revise the campus imprvement plan fr the purpse f imprving student perfrmance fr all student ppulatins, including students in special educatin prgrams, with respect t the student achievement indicatrs and any ther apprpriate perfrmance measures fr special needs ppulatins. 5 Include gals and methds fr vilence preventin and interventin n campus; (d)(8) rvide fr a prgram t encurage parental invlvement at the campus; and (d)(9) Set gals and bjectives fr the crdinated health prgram (d)(10) In accrdance with the LEA's administrative prcedures, the campus-level cmmittee must be invlved in decisins in the areas f planning, budgeting, curriculum, staffing patterns, staff develpment, and schl rganizatin. The campus-level cmmittee must apprve the prtins f the campus plan addressing campus staff develpment needs.
