1 GSM/GPRS Cellular Prvider Activatin Infrmatin Intrductin GSM (Glbal System fr Mbile Cmmunicatins) is a glbal cellular netwrk develped by the Eurpean Telecmmunicatins Standards Institute. PixCntrller Raptr Technlgy custmers have the ptin t purchase cellular data plans with ther GSM prviders with the unlcked GSM/GPRS quad band cellular radi ptin. This ptin requires custmers t purchase a SIM card frm a GSM cellular prvider and activate a cellular data plan. Other carriers with built-in supprt include SunCm, Rgers, T-Mbile, Petrcm, as well as a custm selectin. Cnnectivity ptins vary amngst these prviders, s please check with yur prvider fr details.

2 Wrld SIM - GSM Glbal Cellular Netwrks Wrld GSM SIM is a prepaid SIM card mbile service that allws yu t use yur Raptr Wireless Camera why where in the wrld. Typically a Wrld SIM card will charge mre fr data charges than a SIM card lcked t a single cellular prvider, but the Wrld SIM gives yu the freedm t place yur Raptr Wireless Camera anywhere in the wrld there is cellular service. We recmmend a Wrld SIM fr Raptr Cellular custmers utside f the USA. Mbal Wrld SIM card is a prvider we recmmend. See: Mbal SIM cards wrk n the AT&T (850/1900 MHz) and T-Mbile (850/1900 MHz) in the USA. The SIM card cst is $19 and the data charge is $0.14 per 10K, which cst abut $0.50 t $0.75 per pht. When yu use the Mbal Wrld SIM there is n cntract and the SIM card never expires. The Mbal SIM card will wrk in ver 190 cuntries. Mbal Wrld SIM Server Settings Will need t setup the APN and SMTP server infrmatin in the PC Setup sftware befre using the Mbal Wrld SIM card. See sectin 6 fr mre infrmatin. Use the fllwing settings: APN Server: mbile.2.c.uk APN Username: mbileweb APN Passwrd: passwrd SMTP Server: smtp.2.c.uk (N SMTP Username/Passwrd needed) Nte: T save mney n data transfer csts we suggest using a FTP server t send Raptr phts since the data size is 1/3 less than sending phts using SMPT due t Base64 encding. Rgers GSM Cellular Netwrk (Canada) User the fllwing setting fr the Rgers Cellular netwrk in Canada: APN Server: internet.cm SMTP: smtp.rgerswirelessdata.cm Username and passwrd nt needed but if necessary it is: wapuser1 and wap Using Pay as yu G, there are tw plans but the cheapest is the "Scialite Vice and Data 45" which is $45 per mnth and gives 500 Mb f data with additinal data csting five cents per Kb.

3 AT&T Pre-Paid r Pay-G Cellular SIM Card Activatin IMPORTANT: Befre yu begin have a credit card, yur Raptr system, and yur SIM card handy. Pre-Paid AT&T (Pay-G) SIM cards can be purchased frm yur lcal AT&T stre r retailers such as Wal-Mart. NOTE: Be sure t have the APN Server setting set t WAP.CINGULAR and the SMTP Setting set t CWMX.COM using the PC Setup sftware t cnfigure the AT&T server infrmatin. Cnsult yur Raptr manual fr mre infrmatin. NOTE: PixCntrller Inc. will nt prvide technical supprt fr custmers chsing this ptin. If yu wuld like t use the AT&T cellular netwrk fr yur Raptr system cntact PixCntrller, Inc. fr ur AT&T wireless data managed services. First yu will need t activate yur At&t accunt. Lg int: Chse the Pay as yu g plan. Enter yur SIM card number Enter yur service zip cde. T determine yur IMEI number: Turn yur Raptr pwer switch ON (with n SIM card in place) Immediately hit the center range buttn in yur system t take it int diagnstic mde. Nte: Screen shuld say Diagnstic Mde at this pint. If nt, pwer system ff and n again and restart prcess. Wait a mment while system runs thrugh its SELF TEST mde.

4 When message cmes up saying: SIM nt detected, press the center range buttn again t bypass that screen. Scrll (right/left buttns) t: MODEM Scrll (up/dwn buttns) t: IMEI Enter this number nline and pwer dwn yur Raptr system. On the next screen, enter all f yur persnal cntact infrmatin. Once that is cmplete, yu will cme t the RATE PLAN screen. Here yu will chse the $.25 Simple Plan. Nte: Since yu will nt be using yur system fr TALK, this plan allws yu t pay nthing per mnth fr that service. Yu will select a DATA plan in a later step. On the Next Screen yu will review yur infrmatin and hit SUBMIT. Yur Accunt will be activated. Once yu get t the YOUR ACTIVATION IS SUCCESSFUL Page, but sure t print it r write dwn yur New Wireless Number and Passcde. Yu will need this t lg int yur accunt. Scrll dwn n the page and select YES t add mney t yur plan. On the ADD MONEY screen, chse One Time Payment Using Credit Card. On the next screen, select: Buy Airtime/Feature Nw. On the BUY AIRTIME/FEATURE page, chse: DATA, then chse: 100mb data.

5 On the next screen, yu will need t lg int yur accunt using the New Wireless Number and Passcde yu received earlier. The next screen requires yu t lg in again. Once yu lg in again, yu will be taken t a screen that asks yu fr yur new passcde. This is a new cde that will be sent t yur Raptr System t verify that yu are indeed the wner f the phne that yu registered. T get this new passcde, yu will need t insert yur SIM card int the slt n yur Raptr system. Pwer up yu Raptr like befre, pressing the center range buttn immediately t take it int Diagnstic Mde. Again, wait thrugh self test. Scrll (left/right buttns) t MODEM. Scrll (up/dwn buttns) t SMS (This is where yu are able t read yur incming text messages) Select the center buttn t read. Scrll (left/right buttn) thrugh messages. Select the (dwn buttn) t read the entire message. One f the messages will include yur new passcde. Enter yur new passcde nline. Once yu enter this, immediately yu will be asked t update the passcde t ne f yur chsing. Be sure t write this number dwn. This will be yur final passcde! Cmplete the rest f yur AT&T accunt set up. Next, yu will want t test yur Raptr System. Nte: Yu will need t wait apprximately ½ hr after AT&T setup befre yur accunt becmes fully active. Yu may nt be able t cmplete the fllwing steps befre that time. Install the RAPTOR CONFIGURATION SOFTWARE that is lcated n the included CD nt yur cmputer.

6 Remve the Jump-drive frm yur Raptr system and insert it int yur cmputer. Select the tab. Insert test address/es. Hit SAVE and OK. Remve drive. Insert Jump-drive back int yur Raptr system. Pwer Raptr up as befre, hitting center buttn immediately and waiting thrugh self-test. Next, yu will want the system t take a test pht and it t the addresses yu chse. T d this, yu will need t: Scrll (left/right buttn) t MANUAL PHOTO ACQ. Select (center buttn) t take a pht. Scrll (right buttn) t MANUAL + ATT. Select (center buttn) t send. Nte: If yu get an ERROR, yu may nt have waited enugh time fr yur AT&T accunt t activate. Turn system ff and try again later. Once it says sending was successful, check yur and see that the pht arrived. Yur system is nw tested and ready t begin using. Refilling AT&T Wireless Pre-Paid SIM Accunts When yur accunt data plan has expired yu will need t refill the data ptin. Lg int yur AT&T Pre-Paid accunt at: Select the Refill using credit card, debit card, r electrnic check ptin

7 Frm the next screen select the Add Mney/Feature Nw buttn Select the Data ptin under Please select the item yu wish t purchase heading in the middle f the screen. There are several data plans yu can select: Chse yur ptin and press the Add t Cart buttn Next, check Out using yur payment ptin. Nte, yu can setup yur AT&T Pre-Paid accunt t autmatically refill yur accunt n a mnthly basis.
