1 IT Quick Reference Guides Resetting Yur Passwrd Accunt Guides This guide cvers hw t set up yur passwrd reset system t cnfigure up t three ptins (security questins and answers, alternate address, and SMS text message) and hw t use the passwrd reset site t reset yur SU passwrd. INITIAL PROFILE SETUP Befre yu are able t use Passwrd Reset t reset yur SU passwrd, yu will first need t cnfigure up t three ptins (security questins and answers, alternate address, and SMS text message) t allw yu t reset yur passwrd thrugh the Initial Prfile Setup prcess. This is a ne-time nly prcess, and des nt need t be cmpleted again nce it is successfully cmpleted the first time, thugh yu are able t change r update yur prfile at any time. Yu need t have a currently wrking passwrd t cmplete this prcess. Call the IT Help Desk fr assistance if yur passwrd is nt wrking. Visit and click the SU Passwrd Reset System link. In the Initial Prfile Setup sectin, click the G t Setup Tl buttn. Enter yur SU username and click Cntinue. In the Cnfirm SU Accunt screen, enter yur SU username and passwrd and click Cntinue. In the Cnfiguring Challenge Questin Authenticatin screen, set up yur five challenge questins. Yu may chse t answer ne f the pre-laded questins, r yu may create yur wn questin(s). 2 In the Cnfiguring Authenticatin screen, prvide an alternate t send a cde t if yu need t reset yur passwrd and then click Cntinue. If yu d nt have an alternate , click Skip. It is highly recmmended that yu prvide an alternate and/r mbile phne number t be able t reset yur passwrd in the event that yur current passwrd desn t wrk r is expired and yu are unable t answer yur challenge questins. In the Cnfiguring SMS Authenticatin screen, enter a valid US phne number capable f receiving text messages and chse yur carrier frm the drp dwn list. Click Cntinue when yu are dne, r if yu d nt have a US phne number r phne capable f receiving text messages, click Skip. Enter numbers nly, n spaces r symbls/punctuatin. This is nly available fr US phnes. Internatinal phnes are nt able t use this service. It is highly recmmended that yu prvide an alternate and/r mbile phne number t be able t reset yur passwrd in the event that yur current passwrd desn t wrk r is expired and yu are unable t answer yur challenge questins. Prvider ptins are AT&T, Sprint, Verizn, MetrPCS, Virgin Mbile, T-Mbile, Rgers Wireless, Tracfne Nte: Fr StraightTalk custmers, yur phne may use AT&T, T-Mbile, Verizn r Sprint. If yu are nt sure, yu may check with yur service prvider, the bx that the phne came in, r may be able t determine it frm this page: If yu are nt sure, start with AT&T and then attempt t send yurself a cde using the Reset ptin. 3 Once cmplete, yu will return t the SU Passwrd Reset System hme page, and a cnfirmatin will appear n the page. RESET YOUR PASSWORD Yu can use this system t reset yur passwrd at any time, even if yur passwrd is expired. Visit and click the SU Passwrd Reset System link. In the Passwrd Reset sectin, click the G t Reset Tl buttn. Enter yur SU username and click Cntinue. On the Cnfirm SU Accunt page, yu can chse t authenticate by either prviding answers t yur challenge questins, r thrugh SMS r by having a cde sent t yur phne r alternate address if yu had previusly set that up thrugh Initial Prfile Setup. If yu chse t have a cde sent, click Send Cde and then enter the cde yu receive in the field prvided. Click Cntinue when yu have cmpleted yur chsen authenticatin methd. 4 Once authenticated, yu can create and cnfirm yur new passwrd and click Reset. In Review Changes, review yur changes and then click Finish. Yu will return back t the SU Passwrd Reset System hme page and yur passwrd has been successfully changed. UPDATE YOUR PROFILE If yu need t make changes t yur prfile, including changing yur challenge questins, and changing r adding an alternate r mbile phne number, yu can use the Update Tl under Update Prfile. Visit and click the SU Passwrd Reset System link. In the Update Prfile sectin, click the G t Update Tl buttn. Enter yur SU username and click Cntinue. On the Cnfirm SU Accunt page, yu can chse t authenticate by either lgging in with yur SU username and passwrd, by prviding answers t yur challenge questins, r thrugh SMS r by having a cde sent t yur phne r alternate address if yu had previusly set that up thrugh Initial Prfile Setup.
