1 Title Based Reporting to Purpose of job Datapoint House, Telford General Manager To be a HR Manager with passion, conviction and expertise able to oversee a HR function which is not only fit for purpose but which strives for excellence in all areas and to be a HR Manager who is the strategic, driving force for all things HR within the group of companies. Location Within a 30 mile radius of Telford. Relocation expenses will not be paid. Hours of work From 9.00am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday. It is a requirement of this post that the company may flex the hours in line with company requirements. In addition the should expect to work as necessary to meet their goals and targets. It should be noted that we are moving to a 24/7 shift pattern and the group HR Manager may be required to see staff who work night shifts. Salary 30,000 35,000 per annum dependent upon experience. Benefits Performance related bonus Company business mileage Pension scheme, optional BUPA. 10% discretionary. Scheme details to be provided. At published rates. Anyone claiming business mileage must be insured to do business miles. Car allowance Holiday allowance Probation scheme None 25 days annual holiday plus statutory. Six months in a fully managed probation scheme.

To manage a small team, which includes the companies facilities provision, who have high standards and development needs which need to be met. To develop the daily HR function with the completion of current projects such as the HR database and the development of new initiatives which will take the function from strength to strength. Provision and overseeing generalist HR Functions such as recruitment, managing sickness and absence, disciplinary and grievance management. Ability to develop and maintain a strong performance management and development scheme. To be the go to person for everyone within the business with HR related issues. You will be expected to understand the nuances of decisions and be able to provide professional guidance and advice. To be a coach and mentor to all employees whether it be coaching relating to management skills and leadership behaviors or mentoring an employee in a new role or an emotive situation. To develop the function and the business at a strategic level, ensuring the company is a not only a good employer but an employer of choice. To align multi sited divisions within the group of companies and ensure everyone within the company receives a high standard of HR support. To ensure the company continues to meet its stringent health and safety standards, ensuring every day is a safe day at work for all our employees. To be passionate about the provision of HR to the wider group, to work hard to continue the good relationship between the department and the group, to be an ambassador for e-know.net and the function of HR and to do everything in your power to continue the development of function and of business. Communication Skills Communication in this role is paramount. You will be required to be clear and knowledgeable in your communications. You will be required to deal with people across the organisation with the same fair and unbiased approach. People management is key. You will be viewed as a centre of excellence and knowledge. You will be required to assess the risk and outcomes of communications personally and for other managers. You will be dealing with highly confidential personal data which should be treated in accordance with all our policies and procedures. Page 2

3 Skill & Knowledge Base Successful candidates will - Have a wide range of generalist experience from absence management to TUPE (both the legal aspects but more importantly, merging different cultures and practices) Ideally experience with a multi sited company and with the engagement of employees who work remotely. Strong understanding of employment law, HR legislation, good practice and practical application of the rules that govern the HR and health & safety functions. Come from a professional environment where they will be used to working closely with and influencing senior stakeholders. CIPD or experience qualified. Ideally experience in the IT industry. Previous experience of implementing and managing a HR system is ideal. An exceptional planner, with fastidious attention to detail who is able to engage employees and be a conduit for change through consultation. Good commercial understanding of how a successful HR function can influence a company and be a strong part of a successful company. A wide ranging people facing skill set which allows a successful candidate to empathise, reassure, listen, deal with emotive situations, remain calm, effective and professional and be able to take the lead as necessary. Experience of sourcing, selecting and recruiting - whilst reducing costs. Management skills The successful candidate will be an experienced HR leader able to manage a small team of HR and facilities professionals. The group HR Manager will be responsible for the development and output of this team. The will be required to work as part of the Management Team who work together to guide the strategy and future of e- know.net. The will be required to attend all our sites on a regular basis and sometimes at short notice, this may require overnight stays.the successful candidate will be required to commit to this.
