Lynn Meadows Discovery Center For Children Lynn Meadows Discovery Center was the first children s museum in the state of Mississippi, having opened it s bright blue doors in May of 1998. The museum is dedicated to expanding a child s world by encouraging shared learning experiences that enrich the minds and hearts of children, families, and communities through interesting and stimulating exhibits and programing. Housed in a 100 year-old refurbished school building situated along the state s Gulf Coast, Lynn Meadows Discovery Center is home to over 10 indoor exhibits, the award winning WINGS Performing Arts Program, Bear Cub Club Early Childhood Development, and over 7 acres of outdoor play space. With our community s continued support, Lynn Meadows Discovery Center will maintain a determination and commitment to ensure that our children s future is a bright and happy one. Event Overview American Girl Fashion Show is a funfilled afternoon for girls and their family, friends, and favorite dolls Celebrate the experience of being a girl whether yesterday or today, through a colorful presentation of historical and contemporary fashions Enjoy an elegant tea party or festive breakfast for dinner, shop for souvenirs in our LMDC marketplace, and learn how clothing has changed over the years to reflect history, culture, and girl s individual styles
