Ashley Judd is well known for dexterously starring in both box office hits and for turning in unforgettable performance in fine independent films. Judd speaks on behalf of those who cannot speak for themselves. As a survivor of sexual assault and rape, she has spoken publicly about her experiences and has become a strong advocate for survivors of sexual assault. She has experienced firsthand the connection between poverty, illness, and gender inequality and has become an activist and women s rights champion. The Annual Luncheon is CFW's signature fundraising event, and plays a vital role in ensuring that the women and girls of Chicago have the resources needed to thrive. The 30 th Anniversary Luncheon and Symposium will celebrate the achievements of women and girls by bringing together a diverse audience of more than 2,000 guests who represent business, philanthropy, government, nonprofit, media and community members. Proceeds raised help the Foundation achieve its mission to connect need, money and solutions for women and girls throughout metropolitan Chicago. Included will be a networking breakfast, an opening ceremony with a plenary speaker to welcome attendees (500 people expected), followed by educational breakout sessions, discussions and panels.
