3 Welcome from the Convenor Dear Prospective Partner, Thank you for your interest in becoming a partner of the 56th Annual Australian Medical Students Association (AMSA) National Convention. The Australian Medical Students Association (AMSA) is the peak representative body for the 17,000 medical students across Australia and New Zealand and its key mandate is to connect, inform and represent its members. AMSA National Convention is the pinnacle event of the AMSA Calendar, with well over 1,000 medical students in attendance each year. Through the commitment and dedication of medical students, Convention has grown to become the largest entirely student run conference in the southern hemisphere. It is with great pleasure that I invite you to join with AMSA as a partner of the 56th AMSA National Convention to be held in Melbourne from 5th 12th July Melbourne 2015 will be a spectacular week, drawing on Melbourne s world-class venues and internationally renowned speakers. True to AMSA s key mandates, the academic program will seek to inform delegates through challenging plenaries and engaging workshops; connect delegates through networking opportunities and social functions; and allow AMSA to continue debate. 9 Convention Morning Show $4, A short update on the previous day s events, held every day of the Academic Program in the main plenary hall of the Melbourne Convention Centre. This daily stage production also serves to provide the delegates with information about the coming day s opportunities.
