5 Sln Attack Yuth Lacrsse Club-(SAYLC) PARENTS CODE OF CONDUCT Our missin is t teach the bys f the Sln Attack Yuth Lacrsse Club t play lacrsse with skill, integrity, sprtsmanship, and enjyment. Our primary fcus is t teach the values f discipline, hard wrk, team cmmitment, and fair and sprtsmanlike cmpetitin. We believe that in team sprts, victries are nt just achieved n the screbard. We judge ur success by ur ability t impress these values n ur yung players. We cannt accmplish this missin withut yur supprt and yur agreement t act as adult rle mdels. As a result we ask yu t read and agree t abide by the fllwing Parents Cde f Cnduct. I WILL: 1. Teach my child respnsibility: a) I will be sure my child makes every effrt t attend practices and games n time. b) I will be sure my child is picked up frm practices and games at their cnclusin. c) In the event my child cannt attend a practice r a game, I will make sure my child calls the cach and advises him. I understand that unexcused absences frm practices and games shw a lack f cmmitment and respnsibility and will be dealt with accrdingly. d) I will encurage my child t take the time t practice n his wn t build his lacrsse skills. e) I will be sure my child has and brings t every practice and game a legal helmet, glves, pads, muth guard, and supprter/cup. 2. Teach my child t respect ther peple: a) I will nt use ful language, ridicule r criticize the referee, caches r ther players, by yelling frm the sidelines, r by making dramatic arm mvements. b) I will tell my child that the fficial is human and smetimes makes mistakes while cntrlling the game, but that the referee des nt "make r break" the utcme f the game. c) I will allw the cach t cach the game withut interference r suggestins frm me, and withut cmments regarding the fficials. I will direct any cmments r suggestins t my child's team manager, nt the cach, and I will wait at least 24 hurs after a game befre ding s. d) I will nt argue with fans frm ppsing teams. e) I will nt shut instructins t players frm the sidelines and will let the cach d the caching frm the apprpriate side f the field. f) I will nt criticize the cach's game decisins afterwards in discussins f the game with my child. 3.
