1 Feature Overview The Phnes and Users must be assigned befre setting up ther cmpnents f Business Digital Vice. The system is designed t allw custmers t quickly setup and mdify phne assignments in real time withut requiring extensive technical knwledge. This guide will als shw yu hw t: Assign a telephne number t an IP Phne r Analg Telephne Adapter (ATA) (Step 5) Input end user infrmatin: Name, extensin, caller ID #, (Step 6) Give end users access t their My Phne prtal fr individual feature management (Step 6) Reset an end user s vic passwrd (Step 6) Reset an end user s My Phne prtal passwrd (Step 6) Unassign a user and/r telephne number frm an IP Phne/ATA (Step 7) There are fur basic cmpnents needed t take advantage f Verizn s Business Digital Vice: 1. The phne number 2. The phne/ata t be assigned 3. Assign an end user t the phne 4. Selected features Feature Prerequisites Befre the User Assignment service can be used, at least ne phne number needs t be in inventry. Feature Setup Befre a user can make a call r take advantage f their Business Digital Vice features, the administratr must setup the users in My Accunt. Once lgged int My Accunt, fllw the steps detailed belw. Step 1. G t My Site and select yur site Verizn Business Digital Vice 1 06/28/15

3 Step 4. Assign a user t the Business Digital Vice Premier User Bundle This may already be filled ut fr yur accunt. If it is, g t the Phne and Mdel Assignment Tab and mve t step 5 Nte: If there are n available statins in the drp dwn, please call VERIZON t rder additinal line(s). In the event that a Statin is being reassigned frm a previus user, yu will be prmpted if there are any Vic messages left fr the previus User, and asked if yu wish t remve thse messages fr the new assignment r nt, click t select Yes r N and prceed. 4 Step 5. Assign the device t the user This may already be filled ut fr yur accunt. If it is, g t the User Inf Tab and mve t Step 6 Select the phne mdel this user shuld be assigned t frm the drpdwn Select a MAC Address nt in use frm the drpdwn Nte: The list f available Phnes/ATAs and MAC addresses will reflect all phnes related t yur accunt even if already assigned t ther users. Fr IP Phnes: Be sure t assign a MAC Address nt already in use. T see a list f MAC Address in use, g back t the Phne Assignment hme page. Fr ATAs: Be sure that yu are nt assigning mre users than there are prts. Fr example, if yu have a 2 prt ATA, nly 2 users can be assigned t that ATA. Select which prt this user is assigned t (ATAs nly) If yu are assigning this user t an ATA, be sure t assign the user t a prt nt already in use. T find which prts are available n an ATA: G back t the Phne Assignment hme page. Duble Click n the users with that ATA s MAC Address (as if yu were assigning the user) Click n Phne and Mdel Assignment (same bx seen abve) See what prt is in use Nte: The back f yur ATA has labeled prt numbers s yu knw which prts are in use Select Number f Line Appearances The number f line appearances displayed n the phne will be determined by the number f buttns the mdel supprts. Fr example, if yu have a Plycm 2 line phne, yu can have a max f 2 Line Appearances. Verizn Business Digital Vice 4 06/28/15

5 Step 6. Define the User If an extensin is required, it can be a 2 t 6-digit number cnfrming t the fllwing rules: The user's extensin cannt cnflict with special services numbers. As a result, the fllwing numbers cannt be assigned as extensins: 00, 011, 211, 311, 0311, 1311, 411, 0411, 1411, 511, 611, 0611, 1611, 711, 811, 911, 0911, If the last 4 digits f the user's telephne number cnflicts with a 4-digit special services numbers, the extensin will be left blank when the user is prvisined. If an extensin number is required, any nn-cnflicting 2 t 6-digit number can be assigned. Nte: The User will have a default assignment fr Outbund Caller ID. This will either be the Main number fr the site, r the individual user s phne number. The default Caller ID number is shwn in the abve screen, and can be changed t any phne number available n the site by clicking n the drpdwn and selecting anther number. This allws the users t display different appearances when making utbund calls. If a user des nt receive the new My Phne passwrd r vic passwrd within 10 minutes, have the end user check their spam flder Once saved, the Shw Assignment settings area will display the revised infrmatin fr the user. Clsing the Statin, Device and User Assignment bx will return t the main view f Phne Assignments and reflect the recently cmpleted assignments. Verizn Business Digital Vice 5 06/28/15

7 Step 7. Unassigning Users, Phnes, & Statins Yu can remve user and phne assignments if yu want t change ut the phne r the user. Disable user access frm their My Phne prtal: Verizn Business Digital Vice 7 06/28/15
