2 Co-Curricular Activites (CCA) The Tenby Schools Group aims to provide a wide-ranging co-curricular program. The activities aim to enhance the educational, social and physical benefits of out-ofclass experiences for our students. The program also fosters integration between students from all our schools and hopes to build strong, competitive teams who can compete state and nationwide. Regulations and guidelines CCA s for Term 2 will start the week beginning Monday April 27 th and run for 10 weeks. Students are encouraged to take part in at least one CCA s. There are two time-slots for CCA s: pm and pm. Payment should not be made until the CCA registers have been confirmed and published at the start of term. Payment must be made by Friday 8 th May. Early years / Primary supervision is to provide cover for parents who are unable to collect their child before 4pm / 5.30pm on any particular day of the week. A snack will be provided in this session. Students not signed up to a CCA must be picked up and taken from school by 3.00pm. Students can only change a CCA during the first week of the program. For any CCA that is over-subscribed, places will be decided by a ballot. How to use this booklet Please look through all of the CCA choices and then complete the sign-up form at the back of this booklet. Detach the form and hand it to your class teacher as soon as possible. If you are taking a CCA that requires payment, please make the payment to the school office after the CCA Registers have been published at the start of term. Use this booklet to help you decide which activities you want to do on which day. When you have decided, fill in the last sheet of the booklet and return it to your class teacher.

Special Requirements / Restrictions: A snack will be provided CCA: Late Supervision Yr Groups: Nursery & Cost: RM120 Reception, Yrs 1-6 Day: Monday - Friday Time: pm Min / Max No: 1 / 20 Venue: Early Yrs Block Teacher in Charge: Ms Shabena Supervision for those students who are unable to be taken home at the end of the school day. Special Requirements / Restrictions: A snack will be provided CCA: ZUMBA Yr Groups: 1-2 Cost: Free Day: Monday Time: 2:50 4pm Min / Max No: 10 / 20 Venue: Drama Room Teacher in Charge: Ms Anne & Ms Shikin ZUMBA for those who want to enjoy music and dance. Zumba improves your co-ordination and fitness while you have fun! Special Requirements / Restrictions: Students must bring sports kit
4 CCA: Exploring Art Yr Groups: 1 & 2 Cost: Rm150 Day: Monday Time: 2:50 4pm Min / Max No: 5/20 Venue: Art Room Teacher in Charge: Ms Nadia T Exploring different art mediums with an introduction to some of the Master Artists. Special Requirements / Restrictions: All materials included. This is a repaeat class from Term 1 so priority will be given to those who were unable to enrol in Term One. CCA: Stage Production Yr Groups: 3-6 Cost: Free Day: Monday Time: 2:50 4pm Min / Max No: 6 / 30 Venue: Auditorium Teacher in Charge: Ms Elami Stage Production CCA for the existing Term 1 students. This CCA will continue for the second term and stage a play at the end of Term 2. Special Requirements / Restrictions: Only existing students on this CCA register can participate as we are running the CCA for the second term in preparation for the staging of the play. CCA: Board games Yr Groups: 3-6 Cost: Free Day: Monday Time: 2:50 4pm Min / Max No: 10 / 12 Venue: Year 3 Teacher in Charge: Ms Natasya Board games are a great way that can improve your brain power. CCA: Concert band Yr Groups: 4-10 Cost: RM350 Day: Monday Time: 2:50 4pm Min / Max No:10/15 Venue: Music Room Teacher in Charge: Ms Swan A concert band is an ensemble for playing the instruments using wind, brass instrument family and percussion instrument family. Special Requirements / Restrictions: The students are required to purchase the allocated instruments on their own
5 CCA: Swimming Training Yr Groups: 4-6 Cost: Free Day: Monday Time: 2:50 4pm Min / Max No: 6 / 20 Venue: Swimming Pool Teacher in Charge: Mr Sam Swimming training for those wishing to represent Tenby School swimming Team in fixtures against other schools. Special Requirements / Restrictions: Want to Swim competitively CCA: Taekwondo Yr Groups: 1-11 Cost: RM 75 Day: Tuesday Time: 2:50 4pm Min / Max No: 10 / 45 Venue: Sports Hall Teacher in Charge: Outsourced to Pei Jie Taekwondo is one of the most systematic and scientific Korean traditional martial arts, that teaches more than physical fighting skills. It is a discipline that shows ways of enhancing our spirit and life through training our body and mind. Today, it has become a global sport that has gained an international reputation, and stands among the official games in the Olympics. Taekwondo has no age limits and is a very good sport for children. They learn fast reactions through games learn to respect others and learn to know their abilities and disabilities. The objective of practice Taekwondo is to achieve physical fitness through positive participation and to improve mental discipline and emotional equanimity. CCA: Childrens Yoga Yr Groups: 1-6 Cost: RM300 Day: Tuesday Time: 2:50 4pm Min / Max No: 6 / 15 Venue: Drama Room Teacher in Charge: Outsourced to Shambie Inspiring the Whole Child through Children Yoga, Creative Movement, Songs, Games and Breathing Exercise. We offer creative children yoga using the international recognized children yoga pioneer program called Radiant Child Yoga developed from USA since year This class will introduce your little ones to yoga in a fun and creative way that effectively help kids to calm themselves and feel happy. Your kids will learn the basic postures and concepts of yoga in a relaxing and supportive environment. We also include Howard Gardner s theory of Multiple Intelligence to make learning easier and with a better chance of retention.

To further empower and enhance student learning outside of classroom (extra-curricular activities). 4. To provide a channel for ideas and experience sharing among students. Student benefits 1. You will learn to mould 2D and 3D objects, such as animals, people, trees and flowers. 7 CCA: Born to Move Yr Groups: 1 2 Cost: RM220 Day: Wednesday Time: 2:50 4pm Min / Max No: 4/10 Venue: Auditorium Teacher in Charge: Outsourced to Lexie BORN TO MOVE builds confidence and develops skills using simple moves, role-playing, stories, games, team building, performance, problem solving and the magic of music. This class introduces fundamental movement skills using fun rather than formal exercise routines. Teachers will focus on foundation and games. Children of this age are primarily visual learners and emphasis is on easy to copy moves Special Requirements / Restrictions: 10 places only.
