1 Fact Sheet fr Subscriptin Agents JSTOR Current Schlarship Prgram Purpse T enable subscriptin agents t place timely and accurate rders and payments fr titles in the JSTOR Current Schlarship Prgram (CSP) n behalf f their custmers. Backgrund Beginning January 1, 2011, JSTOR launched the Current Schlarship Prgram (CSP). There are tw parts t this Prgram: JSTOR acts as the nline hsting and nline delivery service n behalf f its publishers. In 2015, CSP will include 301 jurnal titles n behalf f 52 publishers. JSTOR als acts as the subscriptin prcessing service fr these titles. Subscriptin agents wishing t rder these titles where there is an electrnic cmpnent t the subscriptin, n behalf f their custmers must, with exceptins nted belw, rder thrugh JSTOR. CSP Prduct Descriptin The Prgram ffers several subscriptin prducts. These are: Single Title Current Subscriptins. Libraries can chse t rder CSP titles n an individual basis. These subscriptins begin at the title s Digital Availability Date (DAD) and run thrugh the current issue. The DAD is defined as either: (a) the first nline vlume published that was als available fr purchase by libraries frm the publisher (nt frm an aggregatr), r (b) fr titles nt yet nline, the year ahead f the mving wall (mst recent cntent date in the JSTOR archive cllectin). Access will remain fixed back t this date with each additinal subscriptin year. Digital Availability Dates can be fund at in the file called 2015 CSP Title List n the right side. Single Title Full Run Subscriptins, which include the back vlumes f the title, beginning with the first issue published and thrugh the current issue. Discipline Cllectins, which are crss-publisher packages available fr current cntent access r Full-Run. The Cmplete Current Schlarship Package, which includes either Single Title Current Subscriptins, r Full Run Current Subscriptins, t all the titles in the Prgram. Publisher Packages frm sme publishers in the Prgram, which cnsist f all f the publisher s participating titles at a bundled, discunted rate. Ordering Thrugh JSTOR Pricing 1

Simply rdering all the publisher s titles ne at a time will nt result in savings. Agents shuld therefre create individual recrds in their title files fr these packages. All Packages in CSP must be rdered via a single surce (i.e. all titles in the Cmplete Chicag Package must be rdered thrugh ne agent r directly thrugh JSTOR). Packages that cme in as single title rders at different times frm different agents, etc. will nt be prcessed as a package and discunts may nt be hnred as a result. *Use the package rates frm the CSP price list; d nt attempt t calculate ttal csts based n discunt percentages. Cmplete Chicag (The University f Chicag Press) The Cmplete Chicag Package (CCP) is ffered at an average discunt f 37% dependent upn classificatins. Cmplete Chicag is available nly in nline-nly frmat. Hwever, CCP subscribers can als purchase Deeply Discunted print subscriptins t any Chicag title. Agents must place all rders fr Cmplete Chicag titles with JSTOR, whether r nt the rder includes print subscriptins. Deeply discunted print subscriptins are nly valid in cnjunctin with an rder f the Cmplete Chicag Package. If the library currently participates in a JSTOR Archive Cllectin, the library nly needs t sign a rider t its existing license. 6

7 If the subscriber des nt currently participate in a JSTOR Archive cllectin, the participant will have t sign bth the license and the rider. There are different versins f the JSTOR license, depending n the library s cmmunity. Fr example, the license fr a crpratin is slightly different than that fr a university. License dcuments can be btained by writing t participatin@ithaka.rg. It may be the case that the subscribing library wishes nly t subscribe t the current issues f a title, and is nt interested in subscribing t any f the JSTOR Archive Cllectins. In this case, the subscriber still needs t sign the JSTOR license and rider, but shuld ignre Schedule A, which is where the Archive Cllectins are listed. In the license, participants agree t cmply with JSTOR s terms and cnditins, which are incrprated by reference int the license. Claims and Adjustments Claims All claims, adjustments, credits, and crrespndence fr these subscriptins shuld cme t JSTOR at fulfillment@ithaka.rg. Claims fr print nly subscriptins shuld be sent t the publisher. Cancellatins and Refunds CSP titles are all nn-cancellable, nce the subscriptin term starts. JSTOR des nt refund r credit subscriptin payments after the term f the subscriptin has begun. Upgrades/Dwngrades JSTOR allws libraries t upgrade their subscriptins frm print-nly r nline-nly t print + nline during the term f the subscriptin. Pst-Cancellatin Access CSP publishers have granted limited Pst-Cancellatin Access (PCA) rights t JSTOR. Libraries inquiring abut r claiming PCA fr a CSP title shuld write t supprt@jstr.rg. JSTOR will respnd t agent questins regarding PCA, but libraries must claim PCA directly. 8
