2 ABOUT THE CONFERENCE The National Main Street Center, Inc. (NMSC) is a membership-based nonprofit organization dedicated to helping communities across the country revitalize their historic downtowns and create vibrant, people-centered places to catalyze reinvestment, create jobs, and foster pride of place. Tapping the collective wisdom of partners around the nation, the National Main Street Center provides cutting-edge education, analysis, and tools to community leaders, including an annual conference, Main Street Now. Main Street Now is the largest nationwide gathering of commercial district revitalization professionals in the nation. Held in the spring, this annual event draws upwards of 1,500 community leaders from small towns, mid-sized cities and urban neighborhood business districts. This year, the conference will be held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, May 1-3, in partnership with the Pennsylvania Downtown Center. As a conference sponsor, your financial support will bring dedicated professionals, boards, municipal staff, and other key decision makers together to share their successes and challenges and foster new ideas and solutions for preservation-based revitalization. Main Street Now will use Pittsburgh s communities and neighborhoods as a living laboratory to demonstrate the successful use of community-led downtown development over the past 30 years. The Opening Plenary is a high-energy, engaging event that marks the beginning of the conference, and the Opening Reception, immediately following the Opening Plenary, is the networking event for attendees. This year, the Opening Plenary and Opening Reception will feature a welcome from Pennsylvania s Governor and Pittsburgh s Mayor. Choose one to sponsor. 4 Premier Level $25,000-$35,000 Main Street Bash Sponsor $35,000 (1 available) The Main Street Bash is a celebration of Main Street coordinators, managers, and staff at a unique venue, drawing attendees. This fun event features food, live music and dancing and is a high visibility opportunity for sponsors. In addition to the Standard Benefits (see table on page 2), Main Street Bash Sponsors receive: PENDING Company signage in prominent location at the Bash Opportunity to make remarks at the event Opportunity for branded swag at the Bash (picture your logo on every napkin at the event) Five (5) tickets to the Main Street Bash Exhibitor Reception, General Session or Closing Plenary $25,000 (3 available) The Exhibitor Reception is a well-attended happy hour event held in the Exhibitor Hall. Attendees circulate the booths as they network with fellow professionals and exhibitors. The event ends with prizedrawing featuring items donated by exhibitors and usually draws attendees. The General Session is open to all conference attendees and provides an in-depth look at cutting-edge issues of the day. Last year s session on Small Business and Main Street attracted 1,000 attendees. Two Still Available The Closing Plenary features a premier speaker and draws approximately 1,000 attendees. It also features the presentation of the Innovation on Main Street Awards. 5 Major Sponsor $15,000- $20,000 New Attendee Networking Reception - $15,000 Welcome first-time conference attendees with this hour and a half evening networking reception, where guests will hear from the sponsor and enjoy cocktails and hors d'oeuvres while meeting their peers from throughout the country. In addition to the Standard Benefits (see table on page 2), Major Sponsors receive: Opportunity to speak to attendees with welcoming remarks Company signage in prominent location at event Verbal recognition of sponsorship at the event Education Track or Mobile Workshop $20,000 Sponsor an Education Track consisting of 5-6 education sessions (i.e. Leadership Development, Historic Preservation, Placemaking, Design), or a group of half-day Mobile Workshops in the Pittsburgh area. 6 Opportunity to make remarks at VIP Reception Conference Tote Sponsor $10,000 (1 available) Each attendee (~1,500) receives an official conference tote bag, paid for and provided by the sponsor, at conference registration. The tote is used throughout the conference, but also serves as a takeaway to advertise your company long after the conference ends.
