4 Situation Domaine de la Mougine is conveniently situated within walking distance of the charming and renowned hilltop village of Mougins which offers a wide variety of restaurants, art galleries and day to day facilities. Despite the close proximity to the village the property enjoys a private a discrete position in a wonderful mature setting. Cannes (about 6 kms) regarded by many as the heart of the Côte d Azur and famous for its sophistication and glamour with the prestigious annual film festival, offers more extensive facilities. Communications are excellent with the A8 motorway (2 kms) providing easy access to the remainder of the Côte d Azur and Nice International Airport. Alternatively there is the private airport at Cannes Mandelieu offering facilities for some private jets. Recreational facilities include golf at the Royal Mougins Golf Course (about 10 mins), sailing and boating with the nearby marinas including Cannes and Port Vauban (Antibes). Skiing is available at Isola 2000 (about 1 ½ hours drive).

6 Domaine de la Mougine Domaine de la Mougine is a charming provençal house which has been imaginatively extended by the present owners, to include the creation of a wonderful provençal and yet modern kitchen, a separate artist s studio and additional guest/staff accommodation. Facing predominately south and surrounded by wonderful landscaped gardens, the property has lovely terraces from which one can enjoy extensive views to the Bay of Cannes and the hills of the Esterel. The gardens have been redesigned by Jean Mus, one of France s leading landscape gardeners, so as to capitalise on the terraced setting of the property. Steps lined by impressive Cyprus trees lead down to a magnificent swimming pool area and stone walled all-weather tennis court. Unusually, a beautiful olive tree is set in the middle of the pool, which makes a striking feature. The principal house offers numerous bedrooms and a number of reception rooms all of which lead out onto the terrace and look down over the garden and towards the Bay of Cannes. In addition the property has a chapel which has been converted into a separate living area with bedroom, bathroom and kitchenette. La Ferme, a substantial secondary house is situated a short distance from the principal house and can also be reached from an independent gated entrance. 19 Gardens and Grounds The formal gardens form a series of terraces with a number of ornate fountains and secluded sitting areas. The main reception rooms open onto the terrace which is partly covered for outdoor entertaining. This leads down onto stone and paved lit paths. The grounds support a number of mature trees including Lemon, Orange, Pine, Fig, Oak and Olive trees. The lower terraces comprise further wide areas of lawn and lead to the swimming pool and tennis court areas to the south west of the principal house, with the extensive olive grove beyond. Domaine de la Mougine is approached via a cobbled drive with video security gates, which leads into a wide parking area and a drive leads down to La Ferme.
