The island is known to have been occupied some 150,000 years before Christ and even then people were known to live extraordinarily long lives many exceeding 100 years of age. It is believed the Sardinian diet is amongst the healthiest in the world largely down to the culture in Sardinia demanding that only fresh ingredients be used in recipes; one reason the food is delectable here. Residents of Sardinia love their food. The lifestyle is laid back and relaxed. They drink lots of red wine. Here at Adriano s, we like to do things with the same Sardinian style Areccattu / Food We re serious about Sardinian food. Every item on the menu has been carefully created by our Sardinian chefs and made using the very finest ingredients. Wherever possible we source countless ingredients directly from the Mediterranean for authentic Sardinian taste. We even order our tomatoes from Sardinia because we believe the pomodoro sardo is the very best and we cook on a traditional wood burning oven. Between the diverse history of Sardinia s people from France to the Middle East and the various different landscapes and resources that can be found throughout the island, it is hard to put Sardinian cuisine into one category. That s why our menu covers a wide range of meat, seafood, pizza, pasta and risottos, just as you d find in Sardinia. Binu / Wine Sardinia wouldn t be Sardinia without the multitude of wines that are produced there and imported from Italy s finest vineyards. Adriano has tirelessly sampled these wines to bring you an extensive wine menu to compliment your Sardinian experience. The most popular type of wine in this region of the world is of the red variety and it is a cultural tradition to drink wine every day. With that in mind, Salute! Did you know?
