2 TGM Backgrund & Aims The TGM is an impact acceleratin initiative f the Isaac Newtn Institute fr Mathematical Sciences (INI) Launched in March 2013 and quickly established as a vehicle fr knwledge transfer fr the mathematical sciences Stimulates the interchange f knwledge and ideas between academics f different disciplines and users f mdern mathematics Facilitates interactins and activities between academia and industry, plicy makers, gvernment

3 Relatinship with INI & Cambridge The INI is a natinal and internatinal visitr research institute running research prgrammes n selected themes in mathematical sciences, with applicatins ver a wide range f science and technlgy Crss fertilisatin between the INI and TGM Plynmial Optimisatin prgramme Optimisatin fr Space Engineering, Mathematical Challenges in Quantum Infrmatin prgramme pst quantum cmputing/cryptgraphy The TGM is well placed as a natinal initiative, with access t wrldleading academics n Institute prgrammes and acrss the UK Als runs Open fr Business events (as part f INI research prgrammes) which are specifically designed t bring tgether industrial, cmmercial and gvernment rganisatins with mathematical scientists
