We perate primarily as a human rights rganisatin that seeks t address the exclusin f yung peple in a rapidly changing sciety. ur visin fr Western Australia is ne that celebrates and engages yung peple in all aspects f the cmmunity. ur rle is t strengthen the trust, cperatin, cllabratin, prfessinalism and vice f the nn-gvernment yuth service sectr t better serve the yung peple f Western Australia. YACWA aims t prvide a united, independent and active advcate fr the nn-gvernment yuth sectr and yung peple that is bth supprted and respected by the sectr and the wider cmmunity. Fcusing n yung peple s varied needs at lcal, State and Federal Gvernment level, YACWA wrks t engender and enhance psitive cmmunity attitudes twards yung peple. YACWA prvides a vice and acts as a rle mdel fr the definitin and demnstratin f yuth participatin. ur wrk is gverned by fur guiding principles f respect, equity, integrity and the celebratin f diversity.

3 YACWA s Fairgrund takes place every tw years as an pprtunity fr the yuth sectr t netwrk, share ideas and cmmn experiences whilst fcusing n statewide issues f imprtance t yung peple and the sectr will be the furth Fairgrund cnference and fllws similar events in 2008, 2010 and The cnference visin is fr a yuth sectr event that is the mst tpical, relevant, results-rientated yuth cnference ever held in Western Australia.

2014 will be the furth Fairgrund cnference and fllws similar events in 2008, 2010 and 2012.

4 YACWA s Fairgrund cnference will take place n July 10 and 11 f 2014 in Perth, Western Australia. The cnference theme is Fairgrund, and represents an pprtunity t encurage scial inclusin thrugh the cntinued develpment f an even playing field fr yung peple acrss f Western Australia. The 2014 Cnference include a fcus n: Ensuring that all yung peple can benefit frm State prsperity vercming the disadvantage that limits the pprtunities and chices f at-risk and Abriginal yung peple and t engage in healthy and prductive lives Hmelessness, husing and hme wnership Issues affecting yung peple in reginal areas Access t educatin and emplyment Effective delivery f service Culture and respecting difference. The cnference will fcus n dialgue and discussin, and will include engaging and interesting presentatins, wrkshps and activities, in additin t valuable infrmatin and tls fr thse wh wrk fr - and with - yung peple. The cnference is expected t attract apprximately 350 delegates, primarily including yuth sectr prfessinals frm acrss the state. Mre than 300 delegates attended the event in 2012.
