A key part of this role will be to ensure that software development projects and changes are delivered on schedule, and to support the team by engaging with project stakeholders and supporting s Officers in selected stakeholder meetings. The Software Team Leader will support the Software Solutions Architect by providing regular summaries of project progress and challenges, ensuring projects are tracked effectively and deputising on occasion and where appropriate. To deputise for the Software Solutions Architect as and when required. THE POST HOLDER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE 1. To ensure team processes are adhered to on software testing and deployment. 4. To ensure the team communicates effectively internally in the resolution of software issues. 5. Support the Software Solutions Architect by tracking project progress and supplying periodic summaries. 6. Support the development of documented standards in partnership with the Software Solutions Architect. 7. Support the development of business cases, strategic reports and proposals. 8. Develop, manage and maintain processes and materials to support the on-going management of risk associated with application security 9. Support the Software Solution Architect and ICS staff in the development of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans when required for software solutions. 10. To act as Project Manager for smaller software developments. 11. Support s Officers in the gathering of requirements where necessary. 12. To act as a high level technical consultant, using specialist knowledge to advise service areas on critical business decisions related to software and application development. 1. 3 P E R S O N S P E C I F I C A T I O N ROLE CRITERIA NO.1 EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING 1. Candidates should have a degree or equivalent professional qualification, or have proven experience in a senior development role. 1. A formal project management qualification or experience working in a project driven environment 2. Team leadership experience ROLE CRITERIA NO.2 All certificates to be provided at interview for validation. SKILLS /TECHNICAL / PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE 1. Candidates must have an excellent level of technical and business competence 2. Candidates must have excellent communication and organisational skills ROLE CRITERIA NO.3 EXPERIENCE 1. Candidates must have experience working in a software development and support environment. 2. Must have experience assembling detailed specification documents for new solutions. ROLE CRITERIA NO.4 1.
