2 ABOUT FAMILY CHILD CARE What began years ago as an informal approach to providing child care as a way to support working parents, has become an intentional career choice by family child care providers to offer quality early care and education in their homes. Family child care providers are dedicated to delivering high quality, emotionally secure and educational child care to children of all ages in every community across the country. Home by home, NAFCC is working to strengthen the profession of family child care and help parents identify high quality programs and make informed decisions about their children s care. Accreditation e-newsletters are also sent each month to our members and Accreditation Facilitation Projects that support accredited providers. Each month, NAFCC s website averages 10,000 visits from early childhood professionals. Statistically, ads on NAFCC s home page average 250 clicks per month. With the redesign, larger ad space will be available in prominent space, leading to more visibility of the advertisement. 4 WEBINAR SPONSORSHIP NAFCC offers organizations the opportunity to sponsor webinars to our members. Webinars must be valuable training, presented by a qualified presenter. The organization may choose the topic and presenter to be approved by NAFCC. NAFCC will then advertise and host the webinar, and provide certificates for the attendees. The company s logo with a link to the site will be prominently displayed on all advertising materials and s may include a banner ad for the organization. s will be sent to 5,600 members. Open rate for webinar s average 36% and click through rates average 18%. Cost per webinar: $ NEWSLETTER ARTICLES Each month, NAFCC sends our membership an e-newsletter. Organizations may provide NAFCC approved articles for our members for a minimal processing fee. Articles should be between 800 and 1200 words and must be written from a neutral point of view. This allows all views to be represented fairly and without bias. Authors should aim to provide complete information, and not to promote one particular point of view over another. The company s logo with a link to their site may be included at the bottom of the article. Open rate for NAFCC newsletters averages 32%. Cost per article: $ DEDICATED S TO NAFCC MEMBERS Exclusively available to annual sponsors. NAFCC offers annual sponsors the opportunity to send dedicated s to our membership. Open rate for dedicated s averages 36%, and the click through rate averages 18%. Bronze level sponsors are offered one dedicated per year. Silver level sponsors are offered two dedicated s per year. We have ten board members, 16 membership council representatives, and 13 affiliate organizations. 9 2016 FAMILY CHILD CARE INSTITUTE The National Association for Family Child Care (NAFCC) presents the 2016 Family Child Care Institute which is the largest national gathering of family child care providers, advocates, trainers, mentors, and leaders. Each year, an average of 46 states are represented at the Institute. NAFCC anticipates participants at the 2016 Family Child Care Institute. Family child care providers are predominantly women and are entrepreneurs with the purchasing power for their program. The providers who attend our Institute are focused on creating the ultimate child care environment focusing on safety and child development while in their homes. Attendees expect training and networking experiences, as well as new products and services to support their work. Mentors and advocates who work with dozens to hundreds of family child care providers also attend the Institute in order to gain information and resources to help the providers they serve improve their quality of care and business practices. Exhibiting and Advertising Reach NAFCC comprises nearly 6,000 individual members of the family child care community and 12 state Affiliate associations. Targeted marketing campaigns promote the Family Child Care Institute to members and over 15,000 other family child care professionals. Over 7,500 attendee prospects receive direct mailings of registration materials. 10 FAMILY CHILD CARE INSTITUTE ADVERTISING OPTIONS EXHIBITORS Exhibit space will include one 8x10 draped (8 back wall/3 side rails) booth with a 6 skirted table, two chairs, wastebasket, and ID sign. 11 RESOURCE SHARING Resource sharing affords presenters and non-profit organizations an opportunity to showcase their products or publications during the Exhibit Grand Opening. Space will be available for a minimum of two hours on Thursday night for Institute presenters and non-profit organizations to display products or services. Space will include a draped table with two chairs. Cost: $45.00 Please note the following: 1. To secure exhibit space, payment must be received by NAFCC. 2. RESOURCE SHARING SPACE IS NON-REFUNDABLE. 3. Electricity, AV equipment, and internet are the financial responsibility of the exhibitor. 4. Prior to the Thursday, July 7 th Grand Opening, NAFCC offers Opening Ceremony activities in the foyer outside the Exhibit Hall entrance. From 6:00pm 7:00pm exhibitors will not be allowed to enter or exit the exhibit hall. PROGRAM ADVERTISING The Family Child Care Institute program is distributed to all participants. Attendees use this publication as a resource after the Institute since it is filled with information about exhibitors, presenters, and the workshops. Additionally, their certificate of participation is in the Institute program. It is an excellent, cost effective way to get your message to attendees when they are most focused on opportunities to improve their programs and advance their own professional development. Advertising in the Institute program is charged according to the size of the advertisement. 12 BAG INSERTS All registered attendees will receive a bag when they pick up their registration materials. Bag inserts are a fantastic opportunity for attendees to be exposed to your organization from the very beginning of the Family Child Care Institute. You can send your brochure, pamphlet, pens, notepads, or any other item and it will be included in the official Family Child Care Institute tote bag. Bag inserts must meet size requirements. Liquid samples must be sealed to prevent leaking or they will not be included in the bags. UNRESTRICTED INSTITUTE SPONSORSHIP LEVELS Unrestricted sponsorship levels allow your company to have visibility throughout the Family Child Care Institute as well as prior to the Institute through registration and marketing. DIAMOND LEVEL SPONSOR - $10,000 Diamond Level Benefits Include: Name recognition: Your logo will appear on the main Family Child Care Institute webpage and on the sponsors page in the printed Institute program. You will also receive recognition from the podium for your generous donation. Diamond sponsors who have paid prior to December 31, 2015 will also have their logo featured in the full color printed registration brochure mailed out to NAFCC members. Exhibit Space: You will receive two complimentary exhibit hall booths. Program Advertisement: You will receive a prominent, full-page color ad. You will be responsible for submitting artwork that meets our ad specifications by the required deadline. Cover ad spaces are reserved for the first three Diamond level sponsors. Bag Inserts: Your company can include two advertisements in the official Institute tote bags. Complimentary Registrations: Your company will receive two complimentary registrations to share with your staff. You may also use these registrations to scholarship providers to attend the Institute. Social Media Advertising: NAFCC will post on our Facebook and Twitter accounts twice prior to Institute that your company is a sponsor. This is a great way to share with participants the specials you might be offering or connect them to your website prior to attending the Family Child Care Institute. Company Display Banner: Your banner may be prominently displayed in the exhibit hall. The banner must be free standing and provided by your agency. Hotel charges may apply. 15 SPONSOR AN EVENT Event sponsorship is completely separate from unrestricted sponsorship. Event sponsors will receive name recognition in the printed program and on the Institute webpage. Additionally, event sponsors who donate over $5,000 will qualify to receive the Institute attendee list. INSTITUTE LUNCHEON - $25,000 Sponsor will be recognized with signage at the event and at the podium. Additionally, sponsor will receive podium time at the luncheon, the opportunity to distribute materials on luncheon tables, and provide a display within the luncheon room. THURSDAY, FRIDAY, OR SATURDAY KEYNOTE SPEAKER - $4,500 Sponsors of keynote speakers will be acknowledged with signage at the event and at the podium. TRIBUTE TO FAMILY CHILD CARE - $10,000 Held Friday, July 8, 2016, this formal event honors NAFCC Accredited Providers, Candidates in Process, Accreditation Observers, and Accreditation Facilitation Projects. Awards are presented to individuals and organizations that have supported family child care and become leaders in their work. Sponsors will be recognized at the event podium, with signage at the event, and in the event program. LET S MOVE! CHALLENGE - $1,000 Sponsorship provides prizes to be awarded to participants for the Let s Move! Challenge and challenge materials. The challenge will encourage participants to increase their healthy eating and exercise habits at the Institute by completing specific tasks. Each task will earn them a raffle ticket towards a drawing for prizes. All prizes will reflect and support healthy habits outlined by the Let s Move! Child Care campaign. Sponsors will be recognized at the podium and on challenge materials. CAUCUS MEETINGS - $1,500 NAFCC supports several caucus groups and provides a platform for discussion and networking at the Institute. Sponsors may designate their contribution to provide refreshments for the following caucus sessions: Diversity Caucus, State Presidents Caucus, or Military Caucus. Sponsorship will be acknowledged at the caucus meeting and sponsor will have the opportunity to distribute materials to participants. REFRESHMENT BREAK - $4,000 A sponsored refreshment break may be held in the Exhibit hall. NAFCC will consult with the sponsor to determine the refreshment and time of the break. 16 MORNING COFFEE- $2,500 Morning coffee can be sponsored in the exhibit hall on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday. For an additional cost, juice and/or pastries can be included also. INSTITUTE BAGS In-kind donation Institute bags are filled with information, resources, and advertisements and given to each participant at registration. This sponsorship is a wonderful marketing opportunity that will give your company wide exposure at our event. Bag designs must be approved by NAFCC. LANYARDS In-kind donation Every Institute attendee is required to have a name badge for admission to events. Your company s logo can be placed on the lanyard accompanying the name badge given to every registrant. This sponsorship is a great way to get noticed by participants.
