The Learning Management Systems Administrator (LMSA) is responsible for the administration and maintenance of the Learning Management System. The LMSA also provides advice and support for SAE s users of the learning management system and suite of learning technologies (staff and students). The LMSA liaises with the EU Academic Registrar on specific training needs and development priorities as part of a quality enhancement cycle for all delivery modes. Essential: Demonstrated experience in working with and knowledge of Moodle; Demonstrated experience in working with learning management systems (such as: Moodle, GoogleDrive; DMS solution, Mobile learning, SurveyMonkey, Google Forms and any other relevant systems); Demonstrated experience working in an educational context (teacher, educational administrator); Strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and ability to relate to other people and to work cooperatively as a member of a team; High level of computer/keyboard skills and a proven work record of accuracy and attention to detail; Superior verbal and written communication skills; Data management and data entry and reporting capability; Working rights for the UK. SAE which was acquired by Navitas Limited in 2011 is the world s leading educator in creative media industries. Established in 1976, it now spans the globe with 53 campuses in 27 countries. SAE provides education services to over 10,000 students and employs approximately 1500 staff. Overview and Objectives of the Position: The Learning Management Systems Administrator (LMSA) is responsible for the administration and maintenance of the Learning Management System. 3 v. Other members of the European Academic Team; vi. Students 4. Key accountabilities that are part of the role: i. Ensuring learning management system setup delivers on staff and student expectations to enable learning and improved student experience; ii. Ensure system is kept up-to-date and provide feedback on possible enhancements iii. Work with the Academic Registrar and the other members of the Academic team in developing and implementing best use on learning management system within quality standards related to any mode of online supported delivery; iv. Provide technical support to users of the Learning Management System, including: a. Implementation of updates, upgrades and changes into the systems to suit SAE s delivery needs b. Provide feedback and recommendations on upgrade of new applications and or systems and transfer of content/data migration c. Current courses maintenance d. Build of new courses v. Contribute to Learning Management System capability building for staff and students; vi. Propose innovations, when and if relevant; vii. Reporting on the LMS. 5. Selection Criteria: Essential i. Ensure that key elements of the cloned courses are reset, eg dates, gradebook, assessments, file structure architecture. Ensuring old courses are hidden from view and archived. Learning Management System training and Support Attend professional development appropriate to keep up to date to online delivery trends and technologies at least once a trimester). Support for the learning management system and related technologies. Creating and/or managing moodle accounts for staff as required. Managing roles and permissions for each member within moodle. Contribute to student and staff orientation. Work with academic and student services staff to build their confidence and capability in using the learning management system. Development of induction and training materials in relation to new and existing processes for staff. Generating usage reports on local activity for academic and admin departments as required.
