2 TH ROYAL BRITISH LGION JOB SCRIPTION Job Title: Reporting To: Role Purpose: Recruitment Officer Recruitment & Administration Manager To work in partnership with Recruiting Manager and HR team to ensure the effective delivery of a professional recruitment service to comply with RBL s Recruitment and Selection policy and best practice guidelines Key Responsibilities: nsure each vacancy has received authorisation following agreed procedure (Signed by irectorate where vacancy has arisen and then countersigned by HR) Work in partnership with Recruiting Managers to agree recruitment process and timelines in advance (where possible) of recruitment campaign starting. If assessments when required during selection process ensure that qualified assessors are available. Work with line managers to ensure job descriptions/person specifications (J/PS) are aligned to requirements of each post, amending and updating where necessary. Provide advice and guidance on suitable sourcing/selection methods to ensure that the Legion attract most suitable candidate available. Assist Recruiting Manager with drafting advert copy ensuring alignment to requirements of J/PS and in line with best practice. Work with approved third party providers of recruitment services and if working with new supplier, negotiate favourable terms to ensure value for money. Upload vacancies to in-house recruitment system (Trent), intranet, Social Media, Career Transition Partnership and agreed job boards following approval of advert text. Assist Recruiting Managers to comply with their responsibilities in the recruitment process (shortlisting, arranging interviews, sending interview invites and rejections) using the in-house recruitment system. nsure interview questions are aligned to requirements of job description and person specification, making recommendations as appropriate. Administer post-interview process including:

3 o nsuring managers return all interview documentation within agreed timeframes and liaise with them to provide feedback to all candidates unsuccessful at interview o Initiate and track all pre-employment checks for new starters, to facilitate a smooth and timely process, keeping relevant managers up-to-date on progress Maintain a presence on interview panels when required to ensure compliance with current employment legislation, RBL s Recruitment and Selection Policy and best practice guidelines. Work with Recruitment & Administration Manager to evaluate and review current processes/procedures for continuous improvement purposes. Any other duties as are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job, the title of the post and its grading as requested by the line manager or Head of epartment (Ho) This job description reflects the current requirements of the role. As duties and responsibilities change and develop, this will be reviewed and will be subject to amendment in consultation with the post-holder. 4 PRSON SPCIFICATION QUALIFICATIONS CRITRIA Good standard of education, GCS or equivalent Certificate in Personnel Practice XPRINC SSNTIAL / SIRABL HOW TO B MASUR Application/Certificat e Application/Certificat e emonstrable current experience of managing end-to-end recruitment process within in-house environment emonstrable experience in facilitating high volumes of vacancies Proven experience of arranging, conducting and evaluating interviews Proven experience of providing advice and guidance on recruitment methods and best practice Up-to-date knowledge of employment/recruitment legislation xperience of developing and issuing a range of employment contracts Proven experience of working with in-house recruitment systems preferably Midland ITrent COMPTNCIS /Assessment ffective Communications (level 2) Relationship Building (level 1) Customer Service (level 1) Team Work (level 1) Planning and Organising (level 1) SKILLS & ATTRIBUTS Strong interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written Assertive and resilient with the ability to influence with credibility Ability to work effectively under pressure whilst retaining a strong eye for detail Flexible and adaptable style Proactive self-starter, able to work

5 unsupervised within agreed timeframes IT Literate in Microsoft Office and atabases xperience of working within charitable sector mpathy with mission, objectives and values of TRBL

6 INFORMATION ON TRMS AN CONITIONS Contract type: Permanent Salary: Annual Leave: 20,503 per annum plus 4,452 London weighting 22 days per annum plus bank holidays Hours to be worked: 35 hours per week Location: Haig House, 199 Borough High Street, London S1 1AA 6 month probationary period mployment subject to medical clearance, satisfactory employment references and confirmation of legal right to work in UK.
