Cntrl Panel Clicking n the Cntrl Panel link at the tp right will allw yu t d the fllwing: Change the rstering date Review Lgin Infrmatin Sign Out Access Lessn, Vides, and Help infrmatin Fr this year, call the District Help Desk when there are prblems , Optin 2 This will let us knw what cmmn prblems peple are having and if we need t d additinal trainings. If IT can t help r district ffice is clsed, call Illuminate directly using the numbers listed. 1

3 3. Student Prfile Page Student Search Tw ways t search fr a student: 1. T find a specific student by name r student ID, type the name/part f the name r ID in the search bx, then pause. A list f students that match the criteria yu entered shuld cme up. 2. Click Students, then under General click Search 2.0. This ptin allws yu t set certain filters t lk fr students, such as grade, SPED status, etc. If yur search criteria applies t mre than ne student, yu will see a list f students. Clicking n the name f a specific student will take yu t his r her prfile page. 2

4 Student Demgraphic Page The first page that will cme up when yu click n a student s name is the student demgraphic page. T get t the student prfile, click n the Student Prfile link at the tp left side f the page. Student Prfile The Student Prfile is made up f widgets that can be added/remved, minimized r renamed. Widget Icns 1. Arrw t cllapse 2. Pencil t change title f widget 3. X t remve widget Add Widgets Buttn Add widgets by clicking n the arrw next t the Add Widgets link. Whenever yu add a new widget, it appears at the bttm f the page. Printing student prfile page Each widget has its wn pdf dwnlad that will print just the infrmatin fr that widget. At the tp f the student prfile page yu can hit the pdf dwnlad t dwnlad the whle page. 3

5 4. Creating CAR Reprts frm the Student Prfile Page 1. Start n the Student Prfile page. 2. Delete all the widgets frm the student prfile page by clicking the X n the tp right crner except fr the State Assessment Overview widget. 3. Click n the Add Widgets link and chse Custm Reprt. 4. In the new reprt widget, click n list reprts. Chse ne f the reprts that start with Student Prfile 5. Cntinue t add custm reprt widgets and chsing reprts that start with Student Prfile NOTE: Yu can nly add up t 5 custm reprt widgets. 6. When the reprt is finished, click n the Dwnlad link at the tp f the student prfile page. 4

6 5. Reprts Finding Reprts Click n Reprts tab, then List Reprts Filters Yu can search by Authr, Type, r Tag. Click n the desired filters, then hit Search. NOTE: The search bar at the bttm is nt tied t the filters at the tp, r the Clear and Search buttns t the right. If a filter is selected and yu try t search fr an unrelated test in the search bar, it will nt wrk (i.e., if the CRT filter is selected and yu type DIBELS in the search bar, yu will nt see any results). Viewing Current and Reflective Data There are 4 different reprts teachers will need t view t see grwth and cncept scres fr each subject. Fr example, t review math data, they will need t view the fllwing reprts: 1. CRT Math Cncept Scres SY CRT Math Cncept Scres SY2013 Summary 3. Grwth Scres Math by Student 4. Grwth Scres Math Summary Each f these reprts are currently shwing current data (current students with last year s scres). T change it t reflective data (last year s students with last year s scres), change the rstering date in the Cntrl Panel. Chse a date frm last year s schl year (i.e., 5/15/2013). 5

7 Hit the Save Changes buttn, then re-pen the reprt t view reflective data. Any f these reprts can be exprted int Excel, PDF, r ther file ptins by clicking n the buttns at the tp f the reprt. 6

8 6. Assessments Click n List Assessments, under the Assessment tab. This list shws assessments that have been created by yu r shared t yu by smene else in the district. This is where all interim tests will be listed this year. DIBELS Prgress Mnitring Illuminate will be replacing the DIBELS Prgress Mnitring site. T enter student data: 1. Click n Assessments at the tp f the page, then List Assessments (as shwn abve). 2. Type DIBELS in the search bar, then click n the DIBELS Prgress Mnitring assessment that shws in the list belw 3. This will bring yu t the Overview page. Click n the blue Respnses link, then click n Enter/Edit. 4. This will take yu t the page where yu will enter students prgress mnitring scres. Remember t click n Save befre leaving the page. 7

Student Prtal fr Online Testing Student Prtal Student prtal is lcated at the fllwing address: slcschls.illuminatehc.cm The site defaults t parent prtal change t student prtal by clicking n the tab at the tp. Tests that are available fr students t take are listed n the right under the blue Assessments heading (Interim tests will be added by the Assessment Department). T set-up passwrds fr the Student Prfile: 1. Click n the Students tab up at the tp left f the page 8

10 2. Click n link fr Manage Prtal Access 3. When the link pens, click n Add a Student up at the tp. 4. Set the filters the apprpriate year and class and hit Submit. 5. Check the bx in the far left clumn fr each student yu want t assign a passwrd t (check the bx at the tp f the clumn t select all students). 6. Over n the right under Enable Prtal using, click n Custm Passwrd. This will allw yu t set a temprary passwrd fr the students D nt use the randm passwrd ptin it will give each student a passwrd made f randm letters and numbers 7. When students lg in, they will be prmpted t create a new passwrd Once students have changed their passwrd, yu will nt be able t lk up their new passwrd T fix/reset passwrds Click n Students Manage prtal access Click n the red circle t delete the student frm list Click n Add a Student and reassign them a passwrd 9

11 8. Scanning Printing Answer Sheets: Click n Assessments then chse either Blank r Pre-Slugged Answer Sheets Fill in the necessary infrmatin in the filters. Yu must fill in the Number f Questins bx. Click n Dwnlad t PDF at the bttm T find a specific assessment, click n Assessments and chse List Assessments frm the drp dwn bx. 10

12 There are tw ways t start scanning student test: Click n the scan icn in the List Assessment Page Click n the assessment link. When the assessment verview page pens, click n Respnses, then Scan. There are tw different scanning mdes that can be selected n the scanning screen: Teacher Mde (shwn belw) Shws all students scres. Pick Teacher Mde if yu want all students' results t display n the screen as they are scanned. This will als allw yu t click Shw which will list the questins a specific student answered incrrectly. Student Mde (shwn belw) Shws nly the results f a particular student s test. Pick Student Mde if yu want each student's scres t display n the screen as they are scanned. Press Enter n yur keybard after scanning t clear the screen s the next student wh scans will nt see hw ther students perfrmed. 11

13 Scanning a student answer sheet: IF yur camera is nt displaying in the scanning windw, click the Tls buttn. This will prvide a link t yur Settings select the camera yu want t use and ther camera settings (e.g., t "flip" the camera if the image n yur screen shws yur answer dcument upside dwn based n hw yu want t place it). Place yur answer dcument s that the entire black bx (as utlined abve) appears clearly (and upright) in the camera windw. HELPFUL REMINDERS: IF yu are scanning in Teacher Mde, yu can scan student sheets cnsecutively after the sheet is registered by GradeCam (signified by a beep and the additin f the student's scre t the list). IF yu are scanning in Student Mde, yu need t hit Enter after each test is scanned. When finished with yur last student, click Teacher Mde and then Yes. When finished scanning click Prceed t Results t save the results. If yu d nt click this buttn, the results will nt be saved. It is suggested that users save respnse every minutes. Nte: Yu can always return t scan mre student respnses 12

14 9. Lessns & Vides Estimated Time: 10 minutes Click n Lessns & Vides link in the Cntrl Panel When the new tab pens, click n Data & Assessment. NOTE: Lessns & Vides pen in anther windw s yu can tab between the lessns and the main Illuminate page. Lessns r the entire manual can be dwnladed by clicking n the red PDF links n the right f the screen. Lessns are cnstantly being updated, s it is recmmended that yu view them nline. 13
