2 With the Cntrl Panel The purpse f this dcument is t familiarize and help yu understand the functins in yur Cntrl Panel (CP). With the purchase f yur FTP Service yu have been given a persnalized FTP Prtal*. The URL address will lk like ne f the fllwing samples: r Frm this FTP Prtal yu can Lgin t yur CP. The default URL fr the CP will be ne f the fllwing, depending n the dmain name yur accunt was assigned: r NOTE: Refer t yur Accunt Activatin fr all yur accunt detailed infrmatin. This infrmatin shuld be kept in a secure lcatin and available fr future reference. If yu have misplaced this , cntact sales@ftpwrldwide.cm and we will prvide yu with anther cpy. 3 With the Cntrl Panel Thrughut the CP several different icns appear. Here is a list shwing the different icns, with a descriptin f their functinality. NOTE: Befre making any changes r deletins PLEASE BE SURE yu understand the result. Als, be aware that there are ptins appearing in the plan that have been disabled, because they are nt part f the FTP Service. Left Menu: Refer t CP screen abve Infrmatin: Plan Change: Click n the icn after the PLAN name if yu want t change yur plan size r billing perid. The fllwing screen will appear. 1. Click n arrw t chse anther plan frm the drp dwn bx 2. Click n SWITCH 3. Next screen will give yu prrated charge 4. Cnfirm r reject change 5. If yu cnfirm the plan change yur credit card n file will be charged the prrated amunt. And the plan change will be immediate. If yu need any assistance cntact sales@ftpwrldwide.cm. Dmains: A quick way t get back t yur FTP Prtal is t click n the icn after yur dmain name. If yu click n the dmain name, yu will be taken in t the DOMAINS submenu. 4 With the Cntrl Panel CAUTION: DO NOT change r delete any f the settings in this area r yu risk lsing yu plan services. Statistics: This sectin displays the actual/ttal allwed usage accunt infrmatin fr: Ttal Traffic: Click n the view icn t see ttal bandwidth used by FTP subaccunts, fr FTP site, and during current plan life cycle. The bandwidth has been set t a reasnable amunt fr the type f plan purchased. Hwever, it is nt restricted, but will be mnitred if the ttal bandwidth used becmes excessive and may result in an additinal charge. AWStats can als be accessed in this area. Refer t STATS belw fr details. Disk Quta: Displays the current amunt f disk space used in relatin t the amunt still available in the plan. Changes t the disk quta is dependent upn the plan purchased and has been disabled. Quick Access Desktp: MAIN Dmains, Web Optins, Accunt Settings prvides FTP, web and netwrk system infrmatin. These areas SHOULD ONLY BE VIEWED fr infrmatin and NEVER MODIFIED. Services nt prvided by the FTP Service have been disabled. CAUTION: turning running services ff will disable yur plan, as well as remve FPT files/directries frm the server. Change Passwrd used t change the passwrd fr the CP. Als allws yu t set the same passwrd fr the FTP admin Lgin. Change Accunt if yu have purchased multiple FTP plans under yur accunt, this is where yu can switch between them withut lgging ut f the CP. Under this icn just click n the select icn next t the plan yu want t access. Add Accunt allws yu t add a new plan t yur accunt and be able t manage it frm ne CP. This will take yu in t the sales rdering system. This is als where - the FTP Sub-Accunts are created FTP lgin passwrd can be changed Yu can access File Manager which runs WebShell4 utility (Refer t File Manager belw fr mre details) Fr detailed steps n setting up FTP Sub-Accunts, refer t GETTING STARTED Premium FTP Sub- Accunts dcument. FTP Service (Available in Premium Accunts ONLY) Virtual FTP site system and usage infrmatin fund here. This is als where - the Virtual FTP User IDs / Directries are created and managed User access / Permissins are assigned t the Virtual Directries Annymus FTP has been disabled fr security reasns and nt available at this time. Fr detailed steps n setting up Virtual FTP Services, refer t GETTING STARTED Premium Virtual FTP dcument. Cntact/Billing Inf This grup shuld be reviewed n a regular basis t verify the fllwing infrmatin is crrect: Cntact Inf all system ntificatins and warnings are sent t this cntact. Make sure all infrmatin is always current Billing Inf peridically check t make sure credit card/billing cntact infrmatin is accurate and valid. T change any Billing infrmatin click n the EDIT buttn and be sure t click n the ADD buttn when finished. In the Plan sectin f billing yu are als able t change plans by clicking n the change icn. Billing Statement - in this area yu can view / print yur billing statements and billing perid details. Statements by Prfile if yu have mre than ne billing prfile it will shw what has been charged t each accunt. Online Price this area prvides the details f the resurces yur plan/s include and what has been used t-date. 6 Tls GETTING STARTED With the Cntrl Panel File Manager: runs a utility called WebShell4. It can be accessed by clicking n this desktp icn r frm inside the FTP Manager. This utility allws the administratr t perfrm FTP file/directry management functins frm yur CP This utility can be used t perfrm such functins as - mve files/directries, change permissins, searches, file cleanup, etc. Web functins cnsisting f Prtect, WGET, FTP, and A-Cunter are nt FTP functins. They shuld be disregarded. This is nt as user friendly as yur FTP site fr uplading and dwnlading files/directries. Recmmend yu d these functins frm yur FTP site. This is nt available t yur FTP users. Fr mre detailed infrmatin n this utility refer t the HELP areas in WebShell4 and GETTING STARTED File Manager dcument. Stats: Cntains the AWStats tl which generates advanced graphical web server statistic reprts, that are updated every 24 hurs. This can als be accessed frm the LEFT MENU - STATISTICS - TOTAL TRAFFIC. Just click n the view icn this tl can be fund at: t pen in bth lcatins. A detailed explanatin f Reverse Tracerute: This net trubleshting tl allws yu t ping any Internet hst frm yur hsting server. In ther wrds, yu can use this tl t determine if a hst is reachable and hw lng it takes fr the signal t g all the way thrugh. Supprt Ticket Center G t this area t view truble tickets that were submitted thrugh the CP Truble Ticket system (referred t as TT). Click n the TT title t read the respnse received frm the supprt grup. Then if additinal infrmatin is required enter infrmatin in the Add New Message bx and click SUBMIT. 7 New Truble Ticket GETTING STARTED With the Cntrl Panel Truble Tickets can be submitted t the supprt grup thrugh the Cntrl Panel r by ing supprt@ftpwrldwide.cm. T ensure the fastest respnse time, we recmmend using the TT system since that sends alerts t the Supprt Grup. If a ticket is submitted using the CP TT system, yu can check the status in the Ticket Center and respnd back t the Supprt Grup with additinal infrmatin, if necessary. Als, a histry f yur tickets will be kept in the Ticket Center fr future reference. Imprtant: If a ticket needs t cntain text in HTML frmat r yur sending an attachment, the TT system can nt transfrm HTML int plain text r view an attachment. Fr these situatins, it is recmmended that yu submit a ticket thrugh the TT System and refer t an sent t supprt@ftpwrldwide.cm cntaining the HTML infrmatin r attachment. Alternatively, the TT cmpser can be launched frm virtually any place in yur CP. Just lk fr the Help icn. Knwledge Base This area cntains Questins and Answers that have been submitted t the supprt grup. If yu have a questin abut the Cntrl Panel r the FTP Site check the Knwledge Base t see if any infrmatin has been psted in this database. Searches by Categry and/r keywrds are available.
