1 ANNUAL SPONSORSHIP PROPOSAL 2013 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Arboriculture Australia, the peak industry arboriculture association for Australia would like to graciously acknowledge and thank our valued family of Sponsors for their generous support throughout the 2012 year. We now look forward to another exciting year of events and are pleased to present the following Sponsorship Proposal for the 2013 year. Being a sponsor of Arboriculture Australia sends your message out as an industry leader and supporter well past the financial members, it reaches into their offices and out to the field workers. The new website is now functioning and has a sponsorship page where sponsors can post their company profile, list products and service information. If you have not yet done so, please a copy of your profile to Sharyn sharyn@arboriculture.org.au so this can be included on the Sponsor page. On the homepage we will continue to provide a rolling banner with the sponsor s logos; this provides year round exposure for all of our valued sponsors. The 2013 Annual Conference, Trade Show, Educational Workshop and Australian Tree Climbing Championships will be held in Melbourne Victoria April The venue is the Hilton on the Park Melbourne which offers us a venue that can accommodate all our conference needs, including the trade exhibit under the one main roof. The Australian Tree Climbing Championships (ATCC) will be located directly across the road in the Heritage Lists grounds of Yarra Park MCG. Tree Climbing Championships. This year s event will see the preliminary events held on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. The master event will be held on Sunday afternoon. The purpose of structuring the event this way is to gain major exposure to the parents and children attending the football. Arboriculture Australia Ltd will have child climbing activities set up so the kids can have a climb prior to the football matches. We have a strong focus this year on educating the public of our unique industry. As this year s ATCC is situated at the parklands of the infamous MCG we have secured pricing for corporate packages to attend either of the following football games if a sponsor would like to entertain some delegates, these are available for: Saturday 27 April Carlton v Adelaide Crows 4.40pm Sunday 28 April Hawthorn v North Melbourne 4.40pm. If you would like to take advantage of these packages please feel free to speak to Sharyn and she will be happy to give you the pricing and package information, and can also arrange a booking for you. At Arboriculture Australia, the annual sponsorship money is used in a number of ways. We allocate approximately 40% of our sponsorship money to subsidise some of the running costs of the association such as day to day expenses including, but not restricted to; Office Administration, the production of the, Website development and research and development for the association and importantly running our many committees that help drive and improve the Arboriculture industry. The remaining 60% is used to subsidise the annual conference, tree climbing championships and for sending the male and female tree climbing champions to the international tree climbing championships to represent our country. This year the event is in Toronto, Canada. It is important that Arboriculture Australia keep moving forward and continues to show positive progress in the development and education of the arboricultural industry. With this in mind, we are relying on your continued sponsorship support over the 2013 period to enable us to promote and improve public education, professional arboricultural practices and safety awareness for Australia.

We have introduced two new Gold Sponsorships and with one of our current Gold Sponsors taking up the new Conference Education Sessions Gold Sponsor this now opens up the ATCC Workclimb Event Gold Sponsor and the new Conference (Monday and Tuesday) Catering Gold Sponsor. As in the past, the sponsor who holds the current level of sponsorship has first right of reply.
