The devce s perated by tuchng the screen surface wth yur fnger r by specal tuch screen pens (nt ncluded). D nt tuch the screen wth sharp r pnted bjects. Status lne If prgrammed, the status lne (2) wll be vsble at the upper screen edge. Scrll bar The scrll bar (5) s used t navgate thrugh ne r several pages. Pressng the arrw keys wll let yu swtch between the key elements. - Duble arrw keys: vsble nly, f cnnected pages are avalable. The dsplay wll swtch t a cnnected page. - Arrw keys: Swtchng between the dsplay elements f the current page. Functn keys There s a maxmum f fur functn keys (6) avalable fr each cntrl element (4) whch can be dsplayed and perated after selectng the cntrl element. Selectng functns /cnsumers In rder t use a functn, t has t be selected frst. Select the page wth the element representng the functn t be cntrlled r dsplayed. Select the desred element wth yur fnger. The screen swtches the dsplay - r - the apprprate functn keys wll be dsplayed. The functn can be perated. Operatng a functn r lad The peratn depends n the type f functn. The respectve functn must be selected and the functn keys must be dsplayed. Swtchng: Brefly actuate the respectve functn key. Dmmng: Actuate the respectve functn key fr a lng tme. Mvng blnds: Actuate the respectve functn key fr a lng tme. Stppng r adjustng blnds: Brefly actuate the respectve functn key. Selectng lght scenes: Brefly actuate the respectve functn key. Set value, e.g. brghtness r temperature setpnt: Shrt press n the crrespndng functn key. Adjustng value wth drect nput: After selectng the functn key, the screen wll dsplay a keypad. Enter the value as a number and cnfrm by pressng Save. Adjustng values wth slder: After the selectng the functn key, the screen wll dsplay a slder, the adjustment range and the current value. Change the value by adjustng the slder and cnfrm by pressng Save. Settng the tmer Tmer functns must have been stred n the devce durng prgrammng. Select tmer page. Select the desred tmer functn and press Change. The swtchng tmes fr the selected tmer functn wll be dsplayed. Select the swtchng tme t be changed. The page shwng the selected swtchng tme wll be dsplayed. 5

6 Select Tme f day and enter the desred swtchng tme va the keypad. Accept nput by pressng Save. Select day f the week. Actvated days f the week are ndcated by an X Select Astr f desred. If Astr s selected, the sunrse r sunset tme s used as swtchng tme. Cmplete the entry and reject the settngs by pressng Cancel. Deletng the swtchng tmes Select tmer page. Select the desred tmer functn and press Change. The swtchng tmes fr the selected tmer functn wll be dsplayed. Select the memry t be deleted. The page shwng the selected swtchng tme wll be dsplayed. Delete data select and accept entry by pressng Save. Cmplete the entry and apply the settngs by pressng Save. Cmplete the entry and reject the settngs by pressng Cancel. Change lght scenes Tme scene functns must have been stred n the devce durng prgrammng. Select Lght scenes page. Select desred lght scenes. The selected lght scene s hghlghted. Press the Call memry key brefly < 1 s, t call up the lght scene. Change the name f the lght scene: Press the Change text key and change the name usng the keybard. Cmplete the entry by pressng Cancel r accept by pressng Save. Press the Change scene key. The selected scene wll be called up. The lghtng fxtures, blnds etc. avalable fr the lght scenes wll be dsplayed tgether wth the current values. Enter values fr the desred devces wth the functn keys, e.g. On, Off, 70%. Specfy Unch. - unchanged - fr thse devces that are nt part f the lght scene and that are nt t be changed. Cmplete the entry and apply the settngs by pressng Save. Cmplete the entry and reject the settngs by pressng Cancel. Qut the Lght scenes page by pressng Return. 6

7 As an alternatve, a lght scene can be adjusted manually n the KNX peratng devces. After that, hghlght the desred scene n the Lght scenes page and press Call memry fr > 5 sec. In ths case, the devce reads and saves the status f all devces ncluded n the scene that are nt declared as Unch. unchanged. Passwrd prtectn The peratn f the devce can cmpletely r partally be prtected aganst unauthrsed use. Fr ths purpse, the devce can handle up t fur fve dgt passwrds whch are herarchcally arranged n levels. If the devce requests a passwrd, the passwrd fr the requested level has t be entered. The default settngs fr the passwrds are 11111, 22222, 33333, If ne r several passwrds have been lst, a qualfed KNX electrcan can recnstruct them. Enter passwrd prtected page The devce asks yu t enter a passwrd. The crrespndng level wll be dsplayed. The passwrd wll be dsplayed wth astersks. The frst dgt s underlned. Enter the passwrd fr the requested level. Pssble characters are the numercal characters 0 9. If the entry was crrect, the desred page wll be mmedately dsplayed. Openng the servce page Startng frm the servce page, pages fr the screen and system settngs as well as the cleanng functn can be accessed. Press the Servce page functn key. The Servce page branches t the sub pages Dsplay settngs, System settngs and Admnstratr. Calbrate screen Open the Servce page Press Dsplay settngs. Press Tuch calbratn The screen dsplays several pnts n sequence. Press the mddle f the dsplayed pnt. The screen wll autmatcally termnate the calbratn. Cleanng the screen The devce features a specal cleanng functn n rder t avd actvatng unntentnal functns when remvng drt, fnger prnts etc.. Whle the cleanng functn s actve, tuchng the screen surface wll cause n actn. Open the Servce page Actvate Cleanng functn Clean the screen surface wth a sft clth. If needed, msten the cleanng clth. The tuch wll nt be evaluated fr the duratn f 1 mnute. The devce dsplays the remanng cleanng tme n the screen. The devce wll return t the servce page nce the cleanng tme has ended. D nt use sharp bjects fr cleanng. D nt use strng cleanng agents, acds r rganc slvents. Keep msture frm penetratng nt the devce. Adjustng basc brghtness The screen wll swtch nt the energy savng basc brghtness after several mnutes f nnuse. Open the Servce page Press Dsplay settngs Press Brghtness settngs 7

8 Select basc brghtness: Brght, Dm r Off. The new settng wll be vsble as sn as the devce swtches back nt the basc brghtness. Settng the date Open the Servce page Open System settngs Select Date Enter the current date. Sequence: DD.MM.YYYY. Accept the entry by pressng Save. Invald entres wll nt be accepted. Settng the date Open the Servce page Open System settngs Settng the tme f day Enter the current tme f day. Sequence: HH:MM. Enter the tme f day n the 24 hur mde. Accept the entry by pressng Save. 9 Select Admnstratr Select Default settngs A cnfrmatn request appears n the screen askng whether the default settng s t be restred and whether all user data s t be deleted. If the user data s nt t be deleted: Press N. If the default settng s t be restred: Press Yes. The devce ntalses, the settng wll be restred t default. Lght scenes wll be deleted (names and values). Tmer data wll be deleted. Selected clur scheme and basc brghtness wll be reset. Fault messages wll be deleted. Calbratn data wll be reset t the standard settng. Stred emals, RSS feeds and value sets wll be deleted. The functn wll be lgged n the past events memry. Prject data and passwrds are nt affected when restrng the default settng. Changng the passwrd Open the Servce page Select Admnstratr Select passwrds Select the desred passwrd level. Enter the new passwrd. Accept the entry by pressng Save. Vewng the past events The devce saves mprtant events n the past events memry such as reset r the dwnlad f prgram r prject data. Smple peratns wll nt be saved. The emal functn s set up and actvated. Open Emal page. The avalable malbxes are dsplayed. Press the desred malbx. The desred malbx s pened and the avalable emals are lsted. Updatng emal bx The emal bxes are updated cyclcally r manually dependng n prgrammng. The Emal page s pened. Press the desred malbx fr lnger than 5 s. There can be separate watng tmes fr the malbx update dependng n the emal prvder. Readng emal The desred emal bx s pened and the avalable emals are lsted. Select desred emal. The devce lads and dsplays the cntent f the selected emal. If an emal des nt cntan any text cntents, an acustc errr message sunds. The devce dsplays the cntents f the emal that are avalable as a text frmat. Separate text frmats e.g. rtf, html, graphcal data r attachments are nt dsplayed. Deletng emal The desred emal bx s pened and the avalable emals are lsted. Select desred emal. The devce lads and dsplays the cntent f the selected emal. Press Delete Emal functn key. RSS functn The RSS functn prvdes a knd f news tcker, whch dsplays headngs wth a bref excerpt and refers t mre detaled pages. S-called RSS feeds can be dsplayed n the devce when cnfgured. The fllwng requrements must be fulflled n rder t use the RSS functn: - The devce must be cnnected t an Ethernet netwrk. - An access pnt t an RSS prvder n the Internet r n an Intranet must exst va the netwrk. - The RSS functn must be set up wth the ad f the PC clent sftware. - The selected RSS feeds must be avalable n the frmat 2.0. The fllwng functns are avalable: - Up t 8 dfferent RSS feeds. - An artcle can be dsplayed n up t tw screen pages. - One pcture can be dsplayed per artcle. Dsplayng RSS feed Open the page wth the avalable RSS feeds. Select the requred RSS feed. 10

11 The headngs f the artcles currently avalable wll be dsplayed. Select the requred artcle. The selected artcle wll be pened. Updatng RSS feed An RSS feed s updated cyclcally r manually dependng n prgrammng. The page wth the avalable RSS feeds s pened. Press the desred news servce lnger than 5 s. Alarm system The nstructns descrbed belw cncern the alarm system ntegrated n the devce and the peratn slely frm the devce. If ther peratng devces are nstalled n the KNX system, the peratnal steps must be carred ut accrdngly. If the devce s used as a dsplay and peratng devce fr a separate KNX alarm cntrl system, the apprprate nstructns must be fllwed. The alarm systems wth the ad f apprprate warnng devces smplfes the mntrng f wndws, drs etc. Dependng n the status f the systems, the respnse f a warnng devce s dsplayed r an alarm s trggered. The fllwng functns are avalable: - Up t 40 warnng devces can be cnnected. - Tw securty areas: exterr and nterr - Internal actvatn area: Exterr s mntred. - External actvatn area: Exterr and nterr are mntred. The alarm system n ths devce s by n means a substtute fr a VdS certfed alarm system. It s n substtute fr mechancal safety mechansms fr preventng the unauthrsed entry f strangers. Status f systems The respnse f the alarm system depends upn ts system status: - System deactvated: Incmng status sgnals are dsplayed but d nt trgger an alarm. - Actvated: Status sgnals n an actvatn area trgger an alarm. A dstnctn s made between: Internal system actvated: Peple are present n the nterr. Only the exterr f the buldng s mntred. Peple n the nterr d nt trgger an alarm. Status sgnals frm the exterr trgger an alarm. External system actvated: Peple are nt present. All nterr and exterr areas are mntred. If a warnng devce respnds, an alarm s trggered. - Alarm: If a warnng devce respnds wthn an actvated securty area, the alarm system swtches t the alarm status. The alarm s dsplayed by the nstalled alarm sgnalng system. - Fault: The system swtches t the fault status f, e.g, the functn f ndvdual warnng devces s s mpared that prper peratn cannt be guaranteed. It s nt pssble t actvate the system frm the fault status. Actvatng The alarm system s n the status deactvated. N warnng devce f the actvated area cncerned has respnded. The alarm system page s pened. Press Actvate fr the desred actvated area. The system swtches t the status actvated after a pssble exstng delay tme has elapsed. Swtchng delay appears n the dsplay fr the duratn f the delay tme. The dsplay ndcates the status external system actvated r nternal system actvated. If the devce s n the actvated securty area, leave ths securty area befre the system s fnally actvated. Deactvatng The alarm system s n the status external system deactvated r nternal system deactvated. The alarm system page s pened. 11

12 If the devce s wthn the prtected area, nly a lmted tme s avalable fr deactvatn befre the alarm s trggered. Press Deactvated The system swtches t the status deactvated. Resettng fault If a warnng devce des nt respnd t an autmatc request, the system swtches t the status Fault. The dsplay ndcates the status Fault. Remve fault. Press Cnfrm n the devce. When all faults have been remved, the system swtches t the status deactvated. If the system des nt swtch t the status deactvated, there are stll faults that have t be remved. Resettng alarm If a warnng devce wthn an actvated securty area respnds, the alarm system swtches t the status Alarm. The alarm sgnalng systems are actvated accrdng t ther prgrammng. A trggered alarm must be cnfrmed n the devce. The system cannt be reactvated befrehand. The alarm system page s pened. The dsplay ndcates the status Alarm. Press cnfrm The dsplay shws the deactvated status after alarm. The devce sgnals the status acustcally untl cnfrmng. Press cnfrm The system swtches t the status deactvated. Presence smulatn The functn presence smulatn shuld cnvey the mpressn f an nhabted huse. Up t 15 dfferent grups can be recrded and f necessary repeated daly r played back ver a tme perd f up t 7 days. Startng recrdng fr the presence smulatn A recrdng must frst be set up and carred ut n rder t use the presence smulatn functn. Select Presence smulatn page Press Select functns. The devce dsplays a number f selected functns that can be used fr the presence smulatn. Select functns fr the recrdng and press Save. Press Duratn Specfy the desred recrdng perd and press Save. Press n sectn Recrd:Start. The devce ndcates Recrdng actve. If the recrdng shuld be nterrupted early, press Stp. When a recrdng s started, all prevus recrdngs are deleted. A recrdng can cmprse a maxmum f 2100 telegrams. If ths number s reached befre the recrdng tme elapses, the recrdng s ended. Startng presence smulatn The saved recrdng can be played back n the exact weekday r repeatedly. If less than 7 days have been recrded, nly the recrded days are played back n exactly these days n the case f the exact weekday. playback. 12

Cmmssnng). Install the panel-munted husng n the crrect pstn - hrzntally r vertcally algned n the wall. Hrzntal nstallatn: Arrw OBEN TOP pnts upwards. Vertcal nstallatn: Arrw OBEN TOP pnts t the left. Pull bus and 230 V lnes thrugh the desgnated bushngs. Pull the suppled tube ver the strpped mans vltage wres. Cnnect mans vltage AC 230 V ~ t termnal (7). Cnnect bus lne t termnal (8). Use the Ethernet cnnectn (15) tgether wth the suppled Ethernet adapter plug and Ethernet adapter cable t cnnect t the IP netwrk. Pay attentn t the crrect clur assgnment f the wres, EIA/TIA-568-A r -B. Ths can be fund n the dcumentatn f the nstalled netwrk cmpnents and ruters. The Ethernet cnnectn n the devce s carred ut accrdng t EIA/TIA-568-B. pcture 4 Cnnect Ethernet cable t the Ethernet adapter plug. T d ths, strp the Ethernet wres, d nt skn, and nsert nt the cver f the adapter plug. Shrten any wres that are juttng ut and push the cver nt the adapter plug n the crrect pstn. Cnnect the suppled Ethernet adapter cable t the termnal (15) and Ethernet adapter plug. pcture 5: Installatn n panel-munted husng. Install devce n panel-munted husng (18). Use the screws (16) suppled. Attach and press n the desgn frame (17). 5.2 Cmmssnng Dwnladng the physcal address The devce must have been cnnected and ready fr use. Prgrammng key (10) and LED (9) n the bttm sde f the devce must be accessble. Cnfguratn and startup wth ETS2 versn 1.3a r ETS3.0d r later. Press the prgrammng key (10). The prgrammng LED (9) s llumnated. 14

15 Assgn physcal address. The prgrammng LED ceases t be llumnated Nte the physcal address n the bttm sde f the devce. Dwnladng the user sftware Recmmendatn: Due t large data vlumes t s recmmended t prgram the user sftware va the ntegrated USB nterface (14). The cnnectn t the PC requres a USB lne wth plug type B. The user sftware and the USB drver have t be nstalled befre the devce s cnnected t the PC. The drvers are ntalsed when the devce s cnnected fr the frst tme t the PC. The crrespndng access rghts are requred. Durng the ntalsatn (when the devce s cnnected fr the frst tme t the PC), sme PC peratng systems perfrm a check as t whether r nt the USB drvers have been certfed. The crrespndng messages can be gnred and the nstallatn cntnued. Cnnect ne devce t the PC nly. After nstallatn f the devce: Remve desgn frame (17) frm the devce. The USB nterface can be accessed (14) at the left edge f the devce - n case f a vertcal nstallatn at the lwer edge. Establsh a cnnectn wth the prgrammng PC va the USB lne. Prgram the user sftware. After prgrammng, dscnnect the USB termnal and attach and press n the desgn frame (17). IP settngs Settngs must be made fr the IP-based functns emal, RSS and remte cntrl by PC. The devce s nstalled and ready fr peratn. The devce and PC are cnnected t an exstng and actve netwrk. The KNX applcatn sftware must be dwnladed. The PC clent sftware s nstalled n the PC and started. Open the Servce page Select Admnstratr. Select IP Settngs. Autmatc IP address assgnment: Settng fr DHCP: ON. Manual IP address assgnment: Settng fr DHCP: OFF. If DHCP: ON: Press Save. The IP Settngs page s exted. The netwrk settngs are updated and the ruter requests the new address. Select IP Settngs. The IP address s dsplayed after abut 30 s. Enter IP address n PC clent sftware.
