Chapter 1 : General The DATACard is an independent data recrding card which allws the user t stre the mst imprtant crane data withut the need fr a permanent link with a fixed cmputer. The DATACard has a memry (nn-vlatile RAM) supprted by a lithium battery (with a minimum service life f 5 years) and stres the fllwing data : number f verlads number and duratin f lifting and lwering mvements number and duratin f crss and lng travels number f "tips" in the abve functins lad spectrum accrding tt the lads lifted The data are tapped using a cmpatible MS-DOS (prtable) PC thrugh an RS232 utput assembled n the card. The strage capacity (memry) f the card is at least 1 year (using the lifting keybard at a rate f 8 hurs/day). The DATACard is supplied : either as an additinal card fr the INDILad Mark 1 r as an independent "bx" in a metal husing t be used with lad limiters f ther makes fitted with a 0-10 VDC utput r with recrding devices which have a reinfrced utput (between 0 an 10 VDC). A CD-ROM and a COM CABLE is supplied with every DATACard fr the installatin and tapping f the sftware with the stred data. The data are cnverted int an ASCII file r can be cnverted int a special sftware prgram we have develped in-huse, that is : "INDISft". This pwerful and user-friendly prgram perates in the "Windws" envirnment and displays the stred data in tables and graphs. It allws the user t schedule maintenance wrk, t lcate unprductive hurs and t find the "safe wrking perid" (SWP) s that the exact (FEM) user class can be determined. Antetli03.dc / Page 9 f 3

T d this, fllw these instructins : 2.A.01 2.A.02 2.A.03 Discnnect all existing electrical cnnectins frm the lad limiter (if they have been previusly cnnected) Unscrew the fur screws (A, B, C, D) and remve the card f the Mark 1 Unscrew the fur screws (E, F, G, H) and place the DATACard in the place prvided in the right directin (see diagram) 2.A.04 Screw hme the fur screws (E, F, G, H) 2.A.05 Place the bard f the Mark 1 back in its riginal psitin and screw hme the fur screws (A, B, C, D) Antetli03.dc / Page 9 f 4

There exist 3 different DATACards : DATACard 0V fr 4 vlt free cntacts DATACard 24V fr 4 differentia! cntacts (input 24 VAC) DATACard 42V fr 4 differential cntacts (input 48 VAC) = lift = lwer = crss travels = lng travels General remark: We advise yu t use the fllwing types f cable : fr 48, 110 r 230 VAC supply cable f at least 1 mm 2 fr 0-10 VDC signal screened cable 1 mm 2 fr cnnectins frm relays f the lad limiter with the main relay lifting cable f at least 1 mm 2 fr signals frm the relay lifting, lwering, crss travels and lng travels t the DATACard cables f at least 1 mm 2 fr the 14 VAC frm Mark 1 t DATACard cable f at least 1 mm 2 Chapter 3 : Operatin 3.01 When using fr the first time, cnnect the RS232 utput up t a serial prt "COM 1" : n yur cmpatible (prtable) PC. Fr the cnnectin between the DATACARD and yur cmpatible PC use the COMCABLE supplied. If yu lse the riginal COMCABLE and yu wish t make a cmmunicatin cable yurself, the cnnectins must be as fllws : Antetli03.dc / Page 9 f 6

TO TEST THE SYSTEM Ntice that the yellw LED at the RS 232 cnnectr flashes nce per secnd. Lift the weight and ntice that the yellw LED UP frm the fur LED's UP/DN/CT/TR is lit. Lwer the weight and ntice that the yellw LED DN frm the fur LED's UP/DN/CT/TR is lit. Crss travel and ntice that the yellw LED CT frm the fur LED's UP/DN/CT/TR is lit.
