1 WINERY ASSOCIATION SPONSORSHIP AND TRADE BOOTH INFORMATION January 19, 2011 Hyatt Vineyard Creek, Santa Rosa, CA Dear Friends, By participating in the fourth annual Direct to Consumer Wine Symposium, you will have an opportunity to learn about best practices in direct marketing, confer with fellow association managers, and promote your association s benefits to wineries. Free the Grapes! to Host a Private Meeting and Dinner for Association Executives on January 18 The Steering Committee is adding a new program this year exclusively for winery association executive directors and managers: a private meeting to discuss direct-to-consumer shipping issues in 2011 and to share ways of communicating updates and news. Jeremy Benson, executive director of Free the Grapes!, will host the meeting and dinner the evening of January 18th at the Hyatt Vineyard Creek. We hope you will seriously consider sponsorship, but at the least, we hope you will participate by attending the event and will help promote it to your members. Each year, more registrants from outside California have attended the summit, fulfilling one of the goals of the Steering Committee. Sign up to the list at to ensure you receive promotional copy and images that you can forward easily to your winery members. Our fourth year should be even more exciting than the sold-out program in January Once again, dynamic speakers, panels and events will bring together winery owners, as well as marketing, club and tasting room managers for a day of intensive dialogue. Net income from the event will benefit the Coalition for Free Trade (501c3) and Free the Grapes! Since 1998, these two organizations have worked tirelessly with industry lobbyists and many associations like yours to increase the number of legal, wine shipping states from 17 to 37, which represent 83% of US wine consumption. 3 2011 TRADE BOOTH INFORMATION Present your Association s benefits alongside Trade Show participants and sponsors. See the schedule for specific hours for the morning break, lunch break, and the Trade Show/Wine Reception at the conclusion of the workshop sessions. Trade booth participants will receive: One, six-foot skirted table; with banquet chairs Six-foot vertical or horizontal banner with your logo artwork Acknowledgements and descriptions of services in the program handout 120v power outlet WiFi internet access during Symposium hours Buffet lunch and Wine Reception Reduced Room Rates to Symposium attendees at Hyatt Vineyard Creek. Rates are $ for 1 King or 2 Queen Bed rooms and $ for Executive Suites. To book, call , identify yourself as a DTC Wine Symposium participant; rooms must be booked before 11/6/10 to be eligible for these rates. Price: Trade booths are $2,000 per six foot table. You may reserve two tables if you need more space. To reserve your trade booth, simply complete and fax back the attached form. Subject to availability; first come, first served and space may be limited to only 25 trade booths. Details: Booth Dimensions: 6 x 3 tables. Maximum height: 6 feet. Vendor booths are welcome; if you bring your own booth it cannot exceed 8 in width. No hanging or affixing banners, materials, etc. to ceilings or walls. Load in: Tuesday, January 18, from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm and Wednesday, January 19, from 6:30 am to 9:00 am. No exceptions. Load out: Weds, January 18, 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
