3 Overview The Family Law Residential 2016 is proudly presented by Queensland Law Society in partnership with Family Law Practitioners Association of Queensland and is the premier annual conference for family law practitioners in Australia. Staged over three days and held at the Sheraton Mirage Resort & Spa, Gold Coast, the Family Law Residential 2016 is expected to attract over 400 delegates. The anticipated delegate profile includes junior practitioners through to experienced practitioners from mid-tier, small and sole firms, as well as members of the judiciary and Bar. The majority of delegates practise within south-east Queensland and major Queensland regional centres. These delegates often have influential relationships spanning other professions and sectors. 6 Conference Session, Stream and Workshop sponsorship Family Law Residential is broken down into a whole delegation group debate with welcome drinks, sessions and streams. Commencing on Thursday afternoon with the debate, followed by welcome drinks that evening, the three streams then begin Friday morning. These three streams are then broken down in five sessions each.
