2 Sponsorship and Exhibition Prospectus The Organising Committee is delighted to invite you to sponsor and/or exhibit at the 2015 ALIA National Library and Information Technicians Symposium. 2 4 September 2015 Wrest Point Hobart, Tasmania Welcome The Organising Committee is dedicated to engaging with delegates through an energising and informative program of speakers, and facilitating networking and business opportunities for sponsors through an interactive exhibition and a dynamic program of social events. It presents a unique opportunity for the library industry to unite in showcasing a dynamic event of such significant repute that it will resonate with representatives of the wider national industry for many years to come. The Symposium will give delegates the perfect environment in which to challenge the notion of a traditional library and to explore what the future may hold. Why Sponsor/Exhibit? Many Library and Information Technicians now hold broad budgetary responsibilities, and are often in charge of researching and ordering relevant equipment, products, supplies and services for their institutions. 3 About the Australian Library and Information Association The Australian Library and Information Association is the national professional organisation for the Australian library and information sector. Together we seek to empower the profession through the development, promotion and delivery of quality library and information services to the nation, through leadership, advocacy and mutual professional support. About the 2015 ALIA National Library and Information Technicians Symposium To be held at Wrest Point, Hobart, from Wednesday 2 Friday 4 September, 2015, this biennial National Symposium will be a highlight of the 2015 Australian Library and Information calendar. With a theme of RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW: It s a Devil of a time in libraries, the Symposium will: Explore the delivery of library services in a technology-connected world. Focus on the ways and means of providing services to a Want it here Need it now society. Examine the many challenges for the Library Technician in ensuring that their library remains relevant and viable in an age of ever changing technologies, expectations, and institutional priorities. Offering a fantastic, relevant and engaging program of theme related workshops, sessions and keynote speakers, the Symposium will stand as a major event for Library Technicians from right across Australia. It will also provide invaluable opportunities for delegates to collaborate, network and build partnerships amongst colleagues, peers, industry leaders and corporate partners. Terms and Conditions 1. By returning the signed Sponsorship Agreement Form ( Agreement ), you agree to be a non-exclusive Sponsor of ALIA National Library & Information Technicians Symposium 2015 held at Wrest Point, Hobart, 2 4 September 2015, on the following terms and conditions set out below and as attached to this Agreement. 2. Sponsorship will be confirmed only upon full payment of your tax invoice. 3. You agree to pay ALIA the full amount payable by 10 July If a sponsor wishes to cancel or change the details of their booking, they must advise the event organiser in writing to alialibtech2015@gmail.com or by mail to the address on the agreement form. 5. The cancellation fees are as follows: On or prior to 10 July 2015, 50% of the total value of the sponsorship/exhibition package. No refunds will be made for cancellation after 20 August 2015 for any reason. 6. All cheques are to be made payable to Australian Library and Information Association and are to be payable in Australian Dollars. Payment can also be accepted by credit card or direct bank deposit. 7. All amounts stipulated in this agreement include Goods and Services Tax (GST) of 10%. 8. There may be limited availability for sponsorship in each category. The event organiser will notify you if the sponsorship opportunity you have selected is unavailable. 9. ALIA may, at their discretion, use your logo, symbol, trademark or registered mark in acknowledging your status as a sponsor/ exhibitor in the event literature. No payment shall be made to you for such use. 10. You agree that ALIA will provide a hyperlink from your sponsor logo on the conference website (where included as part of your package) and that you will provide a link from your website to the conference website. 11. Nothing contained in this agreement will be deemed to constitute a partnership agreement, joint venture or agency relationship between you, ALIA and/or the conference organiser and you must not do anything where you will, in any way, be represented as a partner of ALIA and/or the Symposium organisers. 12.
