2 Presentation The Association Française d Arbitrage / Association For Arbitration (AFA) is a renowned independent arbitration centre. Since its creation forty years ago, AFA s Rules have tramed and secured proceedings of numerous international or national commercial arbitrations. AFA has made it its mission to promote arbitration both in France and abroad, to develop relationships and partnerships with foreign institutes and to provide training to develop arbitration. Once a year, the «AFA Conference» is held in Paris; it is a major event which gathers the main arbitration practitioners around a theme presented by a renowned speaker. The next AFA Conference will be held on September 20th, :pm at the Maison du Barreau on the Île de la Cité, 2 rue de Harlay Paris 1 er. AFA has made it its mission to promote arbitration both in France and abroad, to develop relationships and partnerships with foreign institutes and to provide training to develop arbitration.

3 Be a partner of our event Every year our Conference brings together around 400 people from the business community who are involved in arbitration, be they institutional representatives, corporate representatives or legal professionals and experts. The Conference will take place after AFA s members meeting, lawyers, legal directors, academics, judges, notaries, experts... French and foreign. It will be preceded by the meeting of representatives of 14 french institutions forming the Fédération des Centres d arbitrage established at AFA s initiative in A cocktail and buffet will round off the evening. Our conference is widely advertised in the media and AFA sends more than 3,500 invitations to the public. We invite you to take a look at the pictures of our previous events on our website.
