2 Highlighting the particular needs of the brain injury population in the UK, and inquiring into how they may be better recognised and addressed by society In this conference we attempt to address the needs of Brain Injured individuals over time by exploring society s awareness of ABI in general. Renowned national experts will give a range of presentations covering the following themes: the day starts by reflecting how far we have come in the past 20 years; we move on to hear about current research and initiatives. Best practice in enabling the needs of people with ABI to be recognised and addressed in all aspects of society is to be explored, rather than this being left solely as the remit of specialist services. 3 2014 Draft Programme SHARING BEST PRACTICE 14:15 15:15 Delegates may choose one from three workshops which will each be run as an Appreciative Enquiry focusing on what works well. They will begin with three experts from the field, sharing experience on ensuring the needs of people with ABI are met in society. There will also be an opportunity for delegates to share their experiences and to collaboratively seek and create solutions to problems encountered in practice.
