3 THE 2014 FSID EDITION A 2013 study by INSEAD (1) researchers showed that investing in new technologies such as mobility, online collaboration or cloud computing can improve companies competitiveness up to 70%. Innovative solutions that can improve productivity are a key stake in Singapore, and both government and companies are eager to meet this challenge. With 170,000 Singaporean SMEs, the main focus is to attract the best technologies to keep pace with competitiveness continuous improvement. This policy, combined with the efforts towards the development of the e- government, leads to a high potential growth in various innovative solutions such as CRM, career management or e-learning. France is one of the leading countries both in productivity and ICT innovations. Thanks to the help of the authorities and to a tradition of entrepreneurship (more than 530,000 companies set-up in 2013), French ICT sector is flourishing and it contributes to 25% of the GDP growth. Moreover, France is now a productivity model and is ranked 4 th in the European Union and 6 th worldwide for labor productivity (2).
