1 Dear Friends, European Cup Youth A Modern Pentathlon May 2015 Drzonków, Poland The Polish Modern Pentathlon Association and the Local Organizing Committee has the pleasure to invite a Delegation of your National Federation to participate in the 2015 Modern Pentathlon European Cup Youth A to be held in Drzonków from May 21-25, according to the following Competition schedule: 20 May - arrival of delegations & technical meeting 21 May - women semi-finals 22 May - men semi-finals 23 May - women final 24 May - men final 25 May - relay - men, women, MIX 26 May - departure of delegations ATHLETES LICENSES Athletes are only allowed to participate in UIPM sanctioned events if they are in possession of a valid UIPM issued Athlete s License. Entry Forms will not be accepted if any athlete is missing his/her License Number. Please contact immediately UIPM Headquarters if your athlete is missing his/her License. Teams have to present the licenses to the LOC upon their arrival. If an athlete forgets their License, they must pay a fine of 50 Euros to the UIPM TD/NTO and this fine remains the property of UIPM. If an athlete does not have a license and has not requested a license from UIPM they will not be allowed to take part in the competition. The competition will be carried out according to the UIPM rules. Swimming: 50 meter indoor 8 lane pool Fencing: 10 pistes Combined event: 38 laser targets. According to the UIPM rules, LASER PISTOL SHOOTING has been selected LPT APEOM. Laser pistols are the responsibility of each athlete, the LOC will NOT have reserved pistols. This selection by the organizers has been made in the best interest of Modern Pentathlon. Running: surface in grass

2 INSURANCE According to UIPM rules, all members of attending delegations should insure themselves in case of accidental injury or illness. The organizers will not accept any responsibility, financial or other, for any loss, injury, or illness of any member of the delegation. ACCOMMODATION The participants will be accommodated at hotels in Zielona Góra and Drzonków. The Organizer reserves the right to individual team quartering on. ECONOMICAL CONDITIONS PLEASE NOTE: Single rooms are limited at the hotels and will be assigned on a first-come first-served basis only (with deposit). All rooms will be reserved through the LOC and will be guaranteed with an accompanying deposit. Any overflow will be accommodated at properties coordinated by the LOC. As approved by the UIPM, all delegation members (including athletes, coaches and officials) will pay as follows: Hotels Triple Double Single Stay shorter than 3 nights: The fee listed above is per person per day and includes the following full board accommodation, local transportation, entry into the competition. Delegations are required to send by bank transfer, a minimum of 30 percent of the accommodation invoice by 05 April 2015, otherwise the reservation will not be guaranteed. Payment must be made in Euro. Delegations wishing to arrive prior are asked to inform the LOC earlier. 3 Apply to Rule , NF wishing to arrange its own accommodation must pay an Accreditation Fee per participant (athlete, coach or official) per day. The amount of the accreditation fee is set at 75 EUR per day with a minimum payment of 3 days. This fee entitles the participants to have lunch packets during competition days and to access the official transportation from the Headquarters hotel to competition sites and way back. TRANSPORTATION LOC guarantee transportation from the national airport Zielona Góra Babimost and railway station from the Zielona Góra to the official hotels and the return journey. The Organizer will also provide transport from the Berlin Tegel Airport. The cost is 300 /bus(8people)/round trip, after prior notification the Organizer (LOC). Transportation from the official hotels to the venue for athletes will be according to the competition programme. Delegations are reminded of the new Rule If, on arrival for the competition, the team has less athletes and/or officials than listed on their Final Entry Form and did not update the Organizing Nation/LOC at least 7 days prior to their arrival, the NF will pay a fine to the Organizing Nation/LOC of 200 Euros for each person failing to come. Following confirmation of the final entries, a NF must enter the competition with at least one pentathlete. Any NF failing to take part after having sent their final entries will pay a fine of euro 750 to the UIPM. We would appreciate early confirmation of your intention to participate and submit this as Entry Form A. VISAS AND VACCINATIONS Visiting NFs should confirm visa and vaccination requirements for entry into POLAND prior travelling to the event. The LOC cannot accept responsibility for arranging visas but can

4 provide specific letters of invitation if needed. For information if you need a visa or vaccinations please contact your nearest Embassy or Consulate.
