3 BULGARIA OPEN 2010 INTERNATIONAL TAEKWON-DO ITF CHAMPIONSHIP GENERAL INFORMATION The Championship will take place in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria according to the following program: Accreditation and payments of following fees: A. Competitors competition entry fee: 10 Euro per competitor B. Team competition entry fee: 30 Euro per team C. Hotel accommodation (see chapter on hotel accommodation) N.B.: Countries/clubs arriving by plane at Sofia Airport or by train on Sofia Central Station should inform us of their itineraries before 16 March, 2010 by: Fax: or Transportation from Sofia Airport or Sofia Central Station to the Blagoevgrad and return will be charged 20 Euro per person. Without this booking, no transportations are available from the Organizing Committee, therefore, your own transport arrangements will be necessary. Other arrivals by your own means must all proceed to the meeting point (The Hall of Skaptopara ) at the designated time and location set forth by the Organizing Committee. The Meeting Point for accreditations and payments of all competitors/coaches including the inscription Fees and Hotel Accommodation is set up at the The Hall of Skaptopara. After this procedure, the group will be taken to their designated hotels. If there is any country or team arriving before the official arrival date, please contact the Organizing Committee in advance. Transportation will be arranged only from Sofia Airport and Sofia Central Station. Competition Rules: ITF Tournament and Umpire Rules will be applied to the competition for both individual and team of Pattern, Sparring, Special Technique, Power Breaking and Self- Defense Routine. The current rules are available for download from the International Taekwondo Federation website ( Competition Format: Elimination System will be applied to all the competitions except for the Self-Defense Routine The events that will take place at the championship: 1. Individual Pattern 2. Individual Sparring 3. Team Sparring 4. Self Defense Routine 5. Individual Special Technique 6. Individual Power Braking (only for seniors)

4 Visa: Countries requiring a Visa to Bulgaria should contact the nearest Bulgarian Consulate. In recent years, the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has become stricter with regards to the issuance of Entry Visas. The waiting period after application of Visas to Bulgaria will vary according to the countries. Countries requiring a visa must send the list of names, passport No. and dates of birth of their participants to the Bulgarian Taekwon-Do Federation ITF Organizing Committee, AS SOON AS POSSIBLE and not later then 16 March bft_itf@abv.bg or Tel./Fax To make sure if your country requires a visa to enter Bulgaria, please be advised to visit the following Web Site: Forms: All forms must be sent to the Organizing Committee. All Forms should be sent by e- mail bft_itf@abv.bg. The following forms should be submitted: 1. Arrival/Departure form and details. 2. Individual competitor and team entry forms 3. VIP, coaches and Umpire forms, team doctor, press agents and NGB members/supporters forms 4. 6 The package includes: - Breakfast and dinner After the Deadline of 01 of March 2010 the Organizing Committee not guarantees hotel accommodation. Clubs/Participants NOT BOOKING accommodation through the Organizing Committee MUST PAY an accreditation fee of 200 Euro per team. Competitors: - Junior Competitors for the CuP of Falcon Blagoevgrad Taekwon-Do ITF championship must be ages for Juniors 14 years to 15 years and Juniors Seniors 16 years and 17 years and be holders of 6 th gup to 3 rd Dan ITF black belt certificates on the date of registration. - Adults Competitors must be ages between 18 years to 39 years on the date of registration. It is the participants responsibility to have full Insurance coverage for all eventualities. Organizing committee will not be responsible for any injury or loss for participants before, during, and after the Championships howsoever arising. Draw: The Draw, weigh in and all the payments will take place at the Hall of Skaptopara Blagoevgrad on the 16 th of April Competitor Dress Code: Only the competitors who wear the Official ITF Dobok manufactured by Sasung Company will be allowed to access the competition. UMPIRES: Each club should provide only one (1) ITF Qualified Umpire not less than 3 rd Degree per club. Umpires will be required to carry out their duties as scheduled. Umpires must attend all the Umpire Meetings scheduled in the period of the event. The Umpire s dress code will consist of the Navy blue blazer jacket, White long sleeved shirt, Navy blue trousers, Navy blue necktie, White short socks and White sport shoes as laid down in the Umpire rules. Attention: The Organizing committee will cover 3 days/2 night s Hotel accommodation for an umpire WHOS TEAM IS NOT LESS THAN 10 COMPETITORS. COACHES: Only one coach is allowed to enter the square during the matches. He/she must wear only sportsuit and gymnastic shoes. The coach is only the person who can make an official protest.
