Every university that participates in any of the SCTECH sponsor packages gets to send 1 team (students and 1 professor lead) to this competition for FREE Challenge will involve using a robotic application to help pick odd objects and transfer it from one bin/shelf to an order carton. Details of the challenge will be shared with universities. In addition, participants will be involved in a networking breakfast with our sponsors and all team members participate in a visit to the Museum of Science and Industry in Downtown Chicago ( The winning solution will get a monetary grand prize, certification and training grant in addition to visibility into several corporates and chances to commercialize the idea. Jones, Ph.D Chair, IISB Technology Committee Dr. Jones is a faculty member in University of Texas in Arlington (UTA)'s engineering department, a member of the Dash7 Alliance's education committee and a member of AIM Global. He is also the co-author of RFID in Logistics: A Practical Introduction and many other publications. Dr. Jones holds a Ph.D., from University of Houston, M.S., from University of Houston, B.S., from Texas A&M University.
