24 The SZ Magazin on the ipad The story behind the pictures The ipad App offers advertising clients the possibility to reach SZ-Magazin s exclusive target group also via ipad. A SZ Magazin issue on the ipad offers a lot of variety. On top of all the print content published on Fridays, it contains a lot of additional information: Exclusive texts, photos, videos and blogs from the website. An independent editorial team designs an entire new content mix week by week. For the ipad readers, the reading experience already starts on Thursdays. Within 2 months 60,000 applications have been downloaded (February, 2012). The App makes use of the many advantages the ipad offers: multimedia extras, interactive formats and games enrich the reading. Companies and brands get the opportunity to use new, innovative communication options through creative and interactive multimedia elements. Besides linked images and integrable video content also HTML 5- advertsing formats are possible. The Application provides an utterly new reading adventure.
