2 Digital and Mobile Offerings According to emarketer, spending on digital advertising will experience double-digit growth through Mobile is a major contributor. Digital accounts for a quarter of all ad spend and growing! In a study titled, How Magazine Media Readers Evaluate and Use Digital Newsstands, conducted by GfK MRI and the Association of Magazine Media (MPA) in November 2012, more than 1 in 4 readers have INCREASED time spent with magazine media after reading digital magazines. 80% of readers take action after downloading a digital magazine Over half visit the magazine s website Nearly a third recommend the magazine to a friend Over 25% visit the magazine s social media channels There are many ways to reach readers on the web and on their mobile devices. Sell the space to multiple advertisers, to a single sponsor, or use it for house ads. 8 Mobile App Advertising HTML5 Interstitial Ads HTML5 interstitial ads appear full-screen on the user s mobile device while articles are being read in the Turnstyle mobile app. Advertisers can create HTML5 files that are static or interactive.
