4 WHY EXHIBIT? Psychologists represent a very educated, affluent market that delivers and influences mental health care delivery, research, and higher education. They are involved in increasing levels of influence in all areas of industry. Meet face to face with these high-level decision makers who buy and develop the products and services you deliver! The Colorado Convention Center will be the site of most of the divisional and APA Convention activities. It is understood that the following points are accepted as part of the contract between the American Psychological Association and those who purchase exhibit space in the 2016 APA Convention and Exhibits. Location of Exhibits The APA Exhibit Area will be located in Halls A, B, and C of the Colorado Convention Center. The APA Registration area, the APA Member Resources area, the APA Store, and poster sessions will also be located there. Installation of Exhibits Hours: Wednesday, August 3, 8:00 am to 8:00 pm; and Thursday, August 4, 6:00 7:00 am th

For safety purposes, children under 16 years of age will not be permitted in the exhibit hall during the hours of installation and dismantling. Dismantling Exhibits Hours: Sunday, August 7, 12:00 8:00 pm; Monday, August 8, 8:00 am to noon. Exhibits must NOT be disturbed, dismantled, or removed before 12:00 pm on Sunday, August 7. Exhibitors are required to begin dismantling their exhibit at 12:00 pm, Sunday, August 7, with all exhibit materials dismantled and packed by noon, Monday, August 8. Violations of this regulation will result in the delay of the exhibitor s Exhibitor Prospectus for booth selection at the 2017 APA Convention. Repeated violation of this regulation will result in the exhibitor not being invited to exhibit at the APA Convention. Exhibitors are required to be in the exhibit hall at the close of the show (12:00 pm) on August 7, as this is also the time the decorator will begin collecting such things as aisle carpeting, carpeting from individual booths, table drapes, etc. It is also a time of possible theft. For this reason, exhibitors are urged to pack their materials and make all arrangements with the show decorator, Brede National Exposition Services, as to the disposition of their outgoing freight prior to leaving the exhibit hall. 9 limited amount of space is available in the Convention Registration Packets for exhibitors to include promotional flyers. Space is limited to product or service promotion and cannot be used to promote sessions that are part of the formal Convention Program. For $3,500 (for 10,000 flyers) this is an excellent way to draw attendees to your booth. Each participating exhibitor is limited to a one page (8-1/2 x 11 ), two sided flyer (or equivalent). To reserve your space, your request with a copy of the flyer for approval by June 10, 2016 to: Mona Alcazar (malcazar@apa.org). 34 APA EXHIBIT BOOTH INFORMATION Applications/Assignment of Space Applications for exhibit space must be made on the 2016 Application for Exhibit Space (enclosed). Exhibitors wishing to be assigned or to avoid assigned space adjacent to that of another exhibitor should so indicate on their applications. Exhibitors with business/professional affiliations or subsidiaries of parent companies who desire assignments together in the exhibit hall should submit the applications together, either as one application or as one request. A written request including why the booths should be assigned together should accompany the application(s). Assignment of such space (for purposes of ranking exhibit requests) will be based on the largest booth exhibitor within the grouping. APA reserves the right to limit or deny such requests. Assignment of space for exhibits accepted by APA is made by the APA Advertising and Exhibit Sales Department on behalf of the Director, Convention and Meeting Services, on a first-come, first-served basis. Priority of space assignment will be based on the date and time the application is received. If a number of applications are received at the same time, the number of booths requested on the application will be the next consideration for ranking the applications.
