6 Registration Information Registration fees Registration fees include all general sessions, workshops, continuing education credits, conference materials, and all food and beverage group functions, including breakfasts, breaks, lunches, and three evening receptions. First-come, first-serve priority will be given to registrants and workshop selection. Register early, as space is limited and the conference may sell out months in advance. 7 Conference Information Workshops/Online Materials All general sessions and workshops, including certification classes, are open to registrants. Please note that some certification classes require multiple sessions and are limited in the number of participants. Conference workshop materials will be available to attendees 7 days prior to the conference. A website link will be ed to all registrants for downloading conference workshop materials. WIND will not be providing onsite materials in each workshop. It is the responsiblity of each attendee to print out materials from the online link. 8 General Sessions OPENING GENERAL SESSION: TUESDAY, JANUARY 25, 2011 Jim Morris, The Oldest Rookie Jim The Rookie Morris inspirational and transformational message about following your dreams and having a game plan for success connects with audiences, young and old, male and female. His life story is the inspiration behind the Walt Disney blockbuster film, The Rookie, starring Dennis Quaid. It is also the model for the Oscar-nominated movie, The Blindside. Closing GENERAL SESSION: ThursdaY, JANUARY 27, 2011 Warren Faidley, The Original Storm Chaser Warren Faidley is the original professional storm chaser. Although he was not the first person to pursue storms, he is the first person to do so as a journalist, cinematographer, and photographer - as a full-time occupation. He has received international acclaim and awards for his photography, videography, and cinematography, in addition to his contributions to severe-weather awareness, safety, and education. ABA/TIPS PANEL: Evaluating Coverage for Property Insurance Claims Arising From Multiple Causes of Loss The panel will discuss the myriad of issues that arise in the adjustment of property-insurance claims involving multiple causes of loss. The discussion will focus on identifying and resolving causation problems, in particular those involving concurrent or sequential causes of loss. Relevant case law from the Gulf region will be discussed, with specific focus on the factual underpinnings of these decisions. 10 WIND Golf Tournament Wildcat Golf Club is the site of the 2011 WIND Golf Tournament. 12th Annual WIND Golf Tournament The 2011 WIND Conference Golf Tournament is scheduled for a shotgun start at 11:30 am on Monday, January 24, 2011 at Wildcat Golf Club, which is a 10-minute drive from the Hilton Americas in downtown Houston.
