2 2 About PMAANZ Practice Managers and Administrators Association of New Zealand The Practice Managers and Administrators Association of New Zealand represents Practice Managers, Administrators and the profession of Practice Management. It was established in 1996 and is an incorporated society. The Association is governed by an executive of seven members who are appointed for a three year term. Executive members are elected at the Annual General Meeting which is held during its annual conference. There are a number of branches established throughout New Zealand and a proportion of members annual subscription is remitted to branches to assist them to fulfil the role as defined in the PMAANZ constitution. Its members manage general, allied health, specialist, dental and multidisciplinary practices. Members also include consultants and practice liaison and support staff from PHOs. The Association supports Practice Managers and Administrators in the health sector by: Representing managers and administrators on a number of national health organisation committees Providing peer support through branch meetings and an online forum Regular newsletters The Association has developed an educational pathway for managers and administrators in conjunction with the New Zealand Institute of Management It conducts a salary survey of the sector every two years. The results are provided free to members of PMAANZ

The PMAANZ Conference hopes to enrich delegates with knowledge and experience, as well as empower leaders in health to help bridge the diversity health gap. Our annual PMAANZ conference attracts delegates from throughout the country as it is the only conference aimed specifically at the business side of practices that also provides professional development for managers. We are hoping to register over 250 delegates in Auckland this year. The conference begins on Thursday 8 September at the Pullman Hotel in central Auckland with early registration, pre-conference workshops and mix and mingle amongst the exhibition on Thursday evening. Friday 9 and Saturday 10 September are the dedicated business days of conference, concluding with the inaugural PMAANZ Practice Manager of the Year Awards Dinner on the Saturday evening.

24 24 Venue The industry exhibition will be held in the Regatta Rooms, located on the Lower Lobby Level of the Pullman Hotel, Auckland. The hotel is conveniently located on the corner of Waterloo Quadrant and Princess Streets, with the exhibition rooms being accessed straight from the loading dock. Catering Pre-session tea and coffee, morning and afternoon tea and lunches will be served in the exhibition area to encourage delegates to spend time viewing exhibits and interacting with your exhibitors. Internet Access Hard wired internet access is available at your stand for $13.00 per line per day cost to be paid by the exhibitor.
